Geometric intuition is one of the concrete manifestations of mathematical core literacies in junior high school as proposed in the Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition),which mainly refers to the awareness and habit of using diagrams to describe and analyze problems.As an important topic in the junior high school mathematics curriculum,"triangles" are an important vehicle for developing students’ geometric intuition and carrying out the overall teaching of the unit.The study focuses on two questions: how to carry out holistic teaching design?What is the effect of holistic teaching design on the improvement of students’ geometric intuition? Firstly,this study analyzes the existing results in the development of students’ geometric intuition and teachers’ holistic teaching process through the analysis of relevant literature,and refines the index system of geometric intuition based on SOLO classification theory and the process of holistic teaching design.Secondly,the unit on triangles is designed as an example,and a sub-class teaching design is developed.Finally,the experiment is conducted in two parallel classes of D High School in H City to verify the effect of the whole unit teaching on the improvement of students’ geometric intuitive literacy.From the above study,the following conclusions are drawn.For the unit teaching design,the basic procedure of the overall unit teaching design is clarified,and the overall teaching of the unit "triangle" is designed in this way,and the unit objectives and other related elements are clarified as well.In the perspective of the lesson teaching design,the teaching of concept and theorem lessons is infiltrated with the transferable teaching method from general to special and analogy,and the teaching of "concept-property" is reflected.As for the evaluation analysis,the overall teaching design of the unit can promote the improvement of students’ geometric intuitive literacy.The results of the experimental classes are significantly different in both horizontal and vertical comparisons.The study suggests that the teaching mode should be unitized,and should be based on students’ graphical consciousness,and the transformation of graphical features and algebraic relationships should be emphasized in the teaching process of the unit.The improvement of students’ geometric intuitive literacy requires attention to students’ learning conditions,and an attempt to diverse the teaching method by designing more practical inquiry for the learner and utilizing information technology;To promote the teaching of the math subject,the teacher should focuse on the overall teaching,insist on the deepening of the teaching drop point,and use the overall teaching of the unit to achieve the shift from the "knowledge-based teaching" to the "literacy-based teaching". |
