Social avoidance is a interpersonal problem encountered by children during their growth, which has a great negative impact on children’s social life.Data surveys show that children’s social avoidance problems in China are increasing year by year. The study found that there are many reasons for children’s social avoidance.According to the survey data,it can be inferred that self-evaluation level, depression level, feelings of neglect and peer relations have different degrees of influence on social avoidance. With the purpose of improving the current situation of children’s social avoidance, taking the intervention of relevant influencing factors of children’s social avoidance as the breakthrough, and taking narrative painting therapy as the social worker intervention method, this paper focuses on the following three aspects of research: First, summarize and deduce the influencing factors of social avoidance, conduct statistical analysis on the possible influencing factors, and fit the theoretical model.Second, explore social worker intervention methods to improve children’s social avoidance, and try to apply narrative painting therapy to social worker intervention in children’s social avoidance problems.Third,to evaluate the effect of narrative painting therapy on children’s interpersonal relationship,so as to provide practical experience for the practical application of narrative painting therapy. This research is divided into two parts. The first part is to use the questionnaire survey method to sample the basic situation of children’s interpersonal communication in many areas, evaluate and analyze the overall social situation of children, screen out students with social avoidance tendency, analyze the reasons for their social avoidance, put forward hypotheses in theory, verify the factors affecting children’s social avoidance through data analysis, and conduct theoretical model construction and hypothesis testing. The second part is to apply theory to practice for testing, screen research cases, and provide targeted whole process intervention services. The intervention means are to use narrative painting therapy to try to intervene several factors that may trigger children’s social avoidance. On the basis of classified intervention on the influencing factors,it is expected to improve the social situation, and to conduct psychological correction for children to help them overcome social avoidance Establish correct self cognition, effective social support system and good interpersonal communication mode to improve children’s social communication ability and help children establish harmonious interpersonal relationship. The research conclusions are as follows:(1)Through stratified sampling survey and data analysis,we found that peer relationship and self-evaluation level significantly affected children’s social anxiety level,in which peer relationship was positively correlated and self-evaluation level was negatively correlated.(2)The causes of social avoidance behavior are complex.Social anxiety, depression, neglect, parents’ quality of company, gender differences and other factors will also affect children’s interpersonal communication to varying degrees.(3)The intervention of narrative painting technology can significantly improve the social avoidance of children. From the perspective of social work, painting as a third-party media is conducive to the establishment of communication and links between social workers and service objects, reducing the self defense of the case owner, and establishing a trusted cooperative relationship; From the service object level, narrative reconstruction can effectively improve the service object’s self cognition, alleviate anxiety, improve the service object’s interpersonal trust, and help the service object establish internal psychological strength and external social support.
