| With the development of society and the deepening of social governance,it has become a major trend for multiple entities to participate in joint construction and governance.Children are the future and present.As a member of multiple subjects and also a very important participant,children should express their views and make suggestions in social governance.At the same time,as the construction of child-friendly cities and communities around the world is advancing,children’s participation and independent expression are receiving increasing attention and attention.However,from the current overall development perspective,children’s participation is affected by multiple subjective and objective factors such as children’s own cognitive and ability at their own development stages,the public and parents’ weak awareness of children’s participation,and the lack or immaturity of the overall platform mechanism for children’s participation;The situation of children’s community participation is not good.How to improve their participation ability and promote the support of parents and society is in urgent need of more grassroots practice and systematic support.This study is a qualitative study that uses interview and observation methods to conduct case studies.Firstly,by consulting relevant literature,we can understand the current situation of children’s participation and participation capacity at home and abroad,the factors that affect children’s participation and the problems they face,the relevant theories of children’s participation,and the forms of children’s participation;Subsequently,interviews and observations were used to collect data;Finally,analyze the core concepts of the EPS social work model from the perspective of empowerment,participation,and strengths from the early,middle,and late stages of the project,and learn from specific service cases how the EPS social work model can improve children’s ability to participate and promote the construction of child friendly communities.During the research process,the degree of child participation was divided based on the child participation ladder theory,and the project content was designed based on the EPS social work model,participation theory,etc.Taking the Shenzhen W Community Children’s Travel Friendly Construction Project as an example,the factors affecting child participation in W Community were analyzed through the design and implementation of the project,the participation of children in W Community during the implementation process,and the impact of child participation on their individuals,families,and communities;Based on the practical experience of social workers and project practices,this paper analyzes in detail the community mobilization,participation ability improvement steps,and implementation results of social workers using the EPS social work model to participate in the improvement of children’s participation ability during the project process,and summarizes and extracts the experience to provide a practical reference for further refining social work services and optimizing the role of social workers in the improvement of children’s participation ability.At the same time,it is hoped that through the services of social workers and the summary of practical experience,children’s groups can be assisted as the main body to participate in more community grassroots governance content,and truly exercise their right to express and participate. |
