The "Geography Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools"(2017edition,revised in 2020)clearly proposes to strengthen education in national security,ecological civilization and marine rights and interests,and adds optional compulsory 3modules "Resources,Environment and National Security",to be promulgated in 2020 The "Guiding Outline of National Security Education in Universities,Middle Schools and Primary Schools" stipulates that high school geography should play an important role in the three fields of homeland security,ecological security and resource security.National security education is an educational activity to cultivate students’ national security awareness in order to maintain national security.Carrying out national security education in high school geography teaching can promote the construction of geography disciplines,cultivate high-quality talents,promote the reform of basic education,and enhance students’ national security awareness.This paper adopts literature research method,questionnaire research method,case study method and classroom observation method to carry out theoretical and practical research on national security education in senior high school geography.The value of education in national security.Through the research,the following conclusions were drawn:(1)After sorting out the relevant content about national security education in the high school curriculum standards and the fourth edition of senior high school geography textbooks,it is found that there are abundant national security education content in high school geography subject knowledge,which can be divided into natural resources,ecological environment from the perspective of geography and territorial sovereignty,the subject of geography can become an important position for national security education.(2)Through classroom observation,it is found that teaching objectives,teaching methods,and students’ learning interests affect the development of national security education.Through questionnaire surveys,it is found that the national security content in teaching is mainly at the knowledge level,and rarely involves behavior.There are single teaching methods and boring content.and other issues,but students hope to learn relevant national security education knowledge through geography.(3)National security education in senior high school geography education should follow the principles of direction,goal,inspiration,and fact,grasp the teaching logic of high school geography national security education,sort out the relevant geography teaching content for national security education,and establish a high school geography country.The knowledge system of safety education,based on the high level of national security and international cooperation,organizes teaching clues,adopts a variety of teaching methods,uses charts to intuitively feel resources,environment and territorial characteristics,uses special teaching to combine theory and practice,and uses hot events to create Teaching scenarios,enrich teaching content,and finally carry out thinking structure evaluation and performance evaluation.(4)On the basis of following the principles and strategies proposed in this paper,select the section of “Environmental Pollution and National Security”,design a teaching case of high school geography teaching to carry out national security education,and test and optimize high school geography teaching to carry out national security education.principles and strategies.The research results show that the national security-related content involved in high school geography is very important for high school geography teaching to carry out national security education,and high school geography can play a major role in national security education by giving full play to the advantages of geography.
