The activity course in the history textbook of junior high school compiled by the Ministry of Education is a new teaching organization form born in recent ten years,which arises in the context of the new curriculum reform,breaking through the traditional teaching practice under the teacher to take the whole classroom teaching abuse,advocate students actively participate in the history teaching process,in the acquisition of historical knowledge at the same time pay attention to experience history practice.The change of the traditional teaching methods under the activity class will inevitably bring about the transformation of teaching evaluation paradigm.The evaluation of history activity course emphasizes the evaluation on students’ all-round development,which is beyond the scope of the traditional paper-and-pencil evaluation model.The performance evaluation can make up for the shortcomings of traditional evaluation which focuses on knowledge acquisition.It has advantages in the ability of emotion and attitude,cooperation and innovation.But at present,history teachers’ understanding of activity course is insufficient and one-sided,and lack of evaluation research on activity course,which makes the performance assessment in the implementation of history activity course into a dilemma.This paper first combs the literature about performance assessment at home and abroad,including the connotation,design,implementation procedures of performance assessment,and the application of performance assessment in history classroom teaching practice research.On the basis of this,the author analyzes the suitability of performance assessment in the teaching of historical activity.Secondly,the paper puts forward three steps to develop performance assessment of history activity course.The first step is to determine assessment objectives based on learning objectives of activity course.The second step is to design a performance task with historical characteristics around the goal and activity process.The third step is to develop scoring rules based on goals and tasks.Finally,it discusses the specific practice of applying performance assessment to the teaching of history activity in junior high school.The task of assessment and scoring rules are interspersed in the activities of teachers and students to achieve the realization of the trinity of teaching evaluation.And according to the junior middle school history textbook activity class compiled by the Ministry of the eighth grade book "looking for historical relics" and the ninth grade book of "sing the international song" designed performance evaluation of specific implementation cases,In order to provide a beneficial attempt for the practice of junior high school history activity lesson.
