Analysis Of Chemistry Test Papers In Fujian Middle School Entrance Examination Based On The SOLO Taxonomy

Abstract/Summary:
The quality of compulsory education is related to the development of the country and the future of the nation.How to measure the examination of students’ thinking ability by chemistry questions in the middle school entrance examination is a problem faced by educational researchers at present.Based on the solo classification theory and combined with the curriculum content theme in the chemistry curriculum standard of compulsory education(2011 Edition),this study constructs the test question analysis mode.By analyzing the SOLO levels of various questions in the chemistry test papers of Fujian high school entrance examination from 2017 to 2021,this study summarizes the distribution of different thinking levels in the chemistry test papers of Fujian high school entrance examination in recent 5 years,explores their change characteristics,and designs a questionnaire,Based on the investigation of the actual teaching situation of front-line chemistry teachers,this study draws the following conclusions:(1)In 2017,2018 and 2020,the chemistry test papers of Fujian high school entrance examination focused on the R-level test at the thinking level,the M-level test in 2019 and the E-level test in 2021.For the course content theme,the chemistry test papers of Fujian high school entrance examination in 2017,2018,2019 and 2021 focus on the theme of scientific exploration,while in 2020,they focus on the theme of chemical substances around them.(2)In the past five years,the score proportion of each solo level in the chemistry test paper of Fujian middle school entrance examination has changed significantly.Generally,the score proportion of high-order thinking(R+E)is slightly higher than that of low-order thinking(U+M).Among them,the examination of U level and E level shows an upward trend,and the examination of M level and R level decreases.(3)The theme of scientific inquiry is the key examination content of the chemistry test paper of Fujian high school entrance examination over the years,and the theme of scientific inquiry is mainly to examine the students’ high-order thinking(R+E);The theme of chemical substances around is mainly to test students’ low-order thinking(U +M);The mystery theme of material composition is mainly to examine students’ low-order thinking(U+M);The theme of chemical change of matter is mainly to examine students’ high-order thinking(R+E);The theme of chemistry and social development is mainly to examine students’ low-order thinking(U+M).(4)For the course content,most middle school chemistry teachers believe that the teaching of scientific inquiry theme is the most difficult,and the scientific inquiry theme is also the key examination content in the chemistry test paper of Fujian middle school entrance examination.For the level of thinking,most middle school chemistry teachers believe that the thinking process of students when solving problems is more in line with the "R" level in solo classification,and the requirements of chemistry education for students’ knowledge reserve and thinking level will continue to improve in the future.We should pay attention to cultivating students’ knowledge transfer ability.Through the research conclusion,this paper provides targeted suggestions from the preparation of test questions and the teaching of front-line chemistry teachers.
