The issue of ecological and environmental management is one of the key issues in China’s economic and social development.In recent years,garbage sorting has been the most important aspect of environmental governance,and the central government has always attached great importance to the work of waste separation,and has repeatedly given important instructions on how to implement the policy,so that the work of waste separation can be continuously implemented throughout the country.General Secretary Xi proposed that the community is the "last mile" of urban governance and waste separation,and that the main role of streets and communities must be emphasized,as they are the key to promoting waste separation.At the same time,in the context of the construction of the grassroots social governance system with the participation of multiple entities,the government,enterprises,communities,social organizations and residents need to work together to promote the construction of community waste separation.Among them,schoolage children,as important candidates for future grassroots social governance,especially community environmental governance,have not yet received attention in community waste separation-related projects.Most children have a basic awareness of environmental protection,but their knowledge of waste separation and resource conservation is still insufficient,and they lack effective practices;most of the participants in community waste separation are mainly adults,and the adults are "difficult to act" or "inactive".The problem of "difficulty" or "inaction" of the adult group;children’s participation in community garbage sorting is insufficient and they do not play the corresponding main role.In this study,school-age children in community S of city F were used as the research subjects,and data about school-age children’s participation in community garbage sorting were collected by participant observation,interview and questionnaire survey methods.The study shows that school-age children,as an important link between school,family and community,can participate and play a role in community waste separation as one of the important subjects.The sustainable development of community waste separation.In the context of the vigorous implementation of the waste separation policy,we take school-age children as the entry point to activate "moral constraints" and promote the dual constraints of "legal constraints" and "moral constraints" to achieve We will effectively implement the construction of community garbage sorting,promote the diversification and sustainable development of grassroots community governance subjects,establish an ecological community with "community" as the value orientation,and highlight the significance and value of green social work to the changing society and beautiful China.
