| With the development of society,the Internet has been fully integrated into people’s lives,and the modes of teaching Chinese as a second language have gradually diversified.Online classroom teaching has been popular and accepted by more and more students and parents.Most of the Chinese teaching institutions are aimed at overseas children,elementary pupils and middle-school students.Compared with adult learners,they are at low age,and interest is their primary motivation to learn Chinese.Based on children’s physical and mental characteristics,the thesis finds that vivid and interesting books with rich pictures and texts can bring them a direct visual impact,attract their attention,and stimulate their interest in learning Chinese.In addition,The content of different types of picture books is closely related to the lives of students and can further help children grow up healthily.The author applies picture books in online teaching of oral Chinese as a second language to children and proposes criteria for selecting picture books and various ways of teaching picture books.In addition,presents teaching design for the institution’s self-developed picture book “Jade Rabbit Looking for Friends” and the market picture book “The Crocodile and the Dentist”,and makes teaching suggestions.The thesis consists of four parts: The first part introduces the research on the teaching of oral Chinese as a second language,the application of constructivism theory in teaching Chinese as a second language,the teaching of picture books and the application of picture books in teaching Chinese as a second language.At the same time,it clarifies the research methods of the thesis.The second part includes the definition and characteristics of picture books.Combined with relevant theories,it explains the value of picture books in teaching oral Chinese as a second language to children online,and analyzes the significance of picture books with different themes in teaching.The third part elaborates on the criteria for selecting picture books and the standards of their application to the teaching,and suggests some ways and means that can be used in teaching picture books.The fourth part discusses the feasibility of using picture books in online Chinese language teaching.Based on the basic information of the “Wu Kong EDU” online training institution,it explains how picture books can be used in the classroom.On the basis of the institution’s teaching courseware,the author uses picture books as supplementary content for after-class learning,and conducts teaching design for the institution’s self-developed picture book “Jade Rabbit Looking for Friends” and the market picture book “The Crocodile and the Dentist”.Classroom observation and after-class interviews are adopted to embody the effect of using picture books for oral Chinese teaching. |
