| In the context of being lifted out of poverty,consolidating the past achievements in poverty alleviation and preventing the risk of returning to poverty in a long-term way will become the focus of future development work.Different from the previous poverty measurement method that only considers income,poverty vulnerability is not only measured from multiple dimensions such as economic status,family characteristics and risk resilience,but also takes into account the volatility of these indicators.While based on the present situation,poverty vulnerability can make forward-looking consideration on the future well-being of families or individuals.Therefore,research on poverty vulnerability is of great significance to prevent and resolve the risk of returning to poverty.With the development of economy and society,the relatively scarce obtained female education and gender inequality in education have become increasingly prominent,and the role of women in society and family has not been fully explored.Studies have shown that women show a higher return on education and an advantage in poverty reduction.Therefore,paying attention to the status of obtained female education and helping to release the gender dividend of women become an important breakthrough to prevent and resolve the risk of returning to poverty.Based on the data of the 2010-2018 China Family Panel Studies(CFPS2010-2018),this paper uses two-way fixed effects regression and Probit model to examine the impact of obtained female education on poverty vulnerability of rural families and analyzes the heterogeneity and three mechanisms of action.Then the Markov Chain model was used to verify the effect of obtained female education on the evolution of rural family poverty vulnerability.The results show that the improvement of obtained female education can significantly reduce the poverty vulnerability of rural families,and the higher the obtained female education level,the more significant the transition trend of rural families to the direction of poverty vulnerability reduction.In addition,the effect of obtained female education level on the poverty vulnerability of rural households varies among households in different vulnerable states.The improvement of obtained female education can improve the poverty vulnerability of non-vulnerable,mild-vulnerable,and moderate-vulnerable families,but the effect on severe-vulnerable families is not significant.The reduction effect of obtained female education on poverty vulnerability is mainly achieved through three mechanisms: enhancing the family’s own ability,enhancing the family’s social support,and improving the obtained education of offspring.The level of regional digital inclusive finance(DIF)can significantly reduce the poverty vulnerability of rural households.However,the level of regional DIF has a reverse moderating effect on poverty vulnerability reduction though education.In alleviating the poverty vulnerability of rural households,the level of regional DIF has a certain substitution effect on the level of obtained female education.Thus,promoting DIF can make up for the long cycle of poverty vulnerability reduction though education. |
