In the "Education 4.0 Global Framework" advocated by the 2020 World Economic Forum,schools are called upon to cultivate "people-oriented skills",and the cultivation of individual cooperation ability is also included.Cooperation ability is one of the key qualities for young children to adapt to society in the future and a prerequisite for being based on society.The important value of cooperation has long been demonstrated in China’s long-standing traditional culture,and traditional cultural picture books related to cooperation have unique significance in cultivating children’s cooperative behavior.The middle class is a sensitive period for the formation of children’s cooperative ability,and the overall development level of cooperative ability of 4-5 year old children needs to be improved.Therefore,this study is based on the excellent traditional Chinese cultural picture books with the theme of unity and cooperation,and combined with the actual development level of cooperative behavior among middle class children,designed and implemented relevant activities,hoping to comprehensively cultivate cooperative behavior among middle class children.The study selected S Kindergarten in Q City as the research site,and adopted action research,educational experiment,observation,questionnaire,interview,and literature as the basic research methods.The main research objects were children and teachers in Class One.A 1-month survey was conducted before the start of action research to investigate the development level and cultivation status of cooperative behavior of children in Class One.The results showed that: first,There are differences in the performance of various dimensions of children’s cooperative ability,with some children having a low level of cooperative development;Secondly,teachers lack awareness of using Chinese excellent traditional culture picture books to cultivate children’s cooperative behavior,and there are few picture books with Chinese excellent traditional culture as the theme used to cultivate children’s cooperative behavior in kindergarten daily life;Finally,parents have a low level of attention to the development of children’s cooperation level and the value of excellent traditional Chinese cultural picture books on the theme of cooperation.After the preliminary investigation,based on the current level of cooperative development,interests,and needs of middle class children,we jointly discussed and designed three rounds of action plans with the cooperating teachers: "initial perception,stimulation of cooperative interest,willingness to cooperate with peers","deepening understanding,cultivating cooperative habits,acquiring basic cooperative methods","consolidating application,enhancing cooperative awareness,and mastering strong cooperative skills".Through observation and reflection,as well as communication with collaborating teachers,we continuously improve each round of action,and comprehensively use research methods such as educational experimentation,observation,and interview to collect raw data during the research process.After three rounds of action research,children’s cooperation cognition,cooperation will,cooperation emotion and cooperation skills have been improved to a certain extent.Based on this,the following suggestions are proposed: firstly,teachers can deeply explore the diverse values of cultivating children’s cooperative behavior in excellent traditional Chinese cultural picture books,select excellent traditional Chinese cultural picture books with cooperative themes,carry out picture book teaching and extension activities,penetrate all aspects of kindergarten’s daily life,and thus cultivate children’s cooperative behavior;Secondly,it is important to help parents fully understand the significance of cultivating children’s cooperative behavior in excellent traditional Chinese cultural picture books,attach importance to the emotional experience of children when parents and children read excellent traditional Chinese cultural picture books together,and encourage children to cooperate with peers.By consolidating the strength of families and kindergartens,coordinating and improving children’s cooperation ability,grasping the critical period,and promoting the healthy growth of children. |
