The new edition of the compulsory education history curriculum standard puts forward the goal requirements of the five core literacy of the history discipline.The space-time concept reflects the essential characteristics of the history discipline.Cultivating students ’ space-time concept helps students to correctly understand history,form an objective and overall understanding of history in time and space coordinates,and lay the foundation for the implementation of other core literacy.Therefore,we should pay attention to the cultivation of students ’ space-time concept in teaching.Based on the teaching practice,from the perspective of the core literacy of the space-time concept in the history discipline,this paper selects the problem of the southward shift of the economic center of gravity in the history teaching of junior high school as the entry point,discusses how to infiltrate the space-time concept in the specific teaching content,and puts forward corresponding strategies for the development of students ’ ability.First of all,based on the needs of cultivating junior high school students ’ ability in junior high school teaching,the need to change teaching methods and the need to help students understand historical facts,combined with the current research status of the space-time concept,the southward shift of economic center of gravity and the combination of the two,the feasibility of cultivating students ’ space-time concept in the southward shift of economic center of gravity in junior high school is obtained.Secondly,starting from the teaching content,this paper interprets the teaching content of the southward shift of economic center in junior middle school history textbooks and analyzes its necessity and significance for the cultivation of space-time concept.Thirdly,based on the actual teaching situation,a student questionnaire survey and teacher interview were conducted on the current situation of the cultivation of the space-time concept in the southward shift of the economic center of gravity,and the shortcomings of the cultivation of the space-time concept in the history teaching of junior high school were found and the causes of the problems were analyzed.Then,on the basis of the problems,this paper explores the targeted strategies of the cultivation of the space-time concept in the teaching content of the southward shift of the economic center of gravity,including consolidate basic knowledge to achieve the construction of knowledge context from the combing of time and space,using historical learning tools to establish the relationship between time and space,and establishing a great historical view to grasp the change of time and space.Finally,under the guidance of teaching strategies,the teaching design and reflection of the economic focus of the cultivation of the space-time concept are carried out,which provides a reference for teachers to cultivate students ’ space-time concept in specific teaching.
