Teachers are the foundation and source of education.Early childhood is a critical period for individual growth and development,and preschool teachers bear important educational responsibilities.The work engagement can improve work efficiency and attendance,reduce turnover rate,and ensure the stability of preschool teachers.The work-life quality of preschool teachers can stimulate the enthusiasm and work engagement of preschool teachers,so that they possess a good professional experience.Through literature review,it is found that the work-life quality and work engagement of preschool teachers have been discussed separately,but there are relatively few researches on the status and relationship between the work-life quality and work engagement of preschool teachers.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the current situation and relationship between the work-life quality and work engagement of preschool teachers.In this study,the teachers’ work-life quality questionnaire and the preschool teachers’ work engagement scale were used to investigate the current status of working quality and work engagement of 306 preschool teachers,and explored the relationship between the two.At the same time,and used interviews to understand the work-life quality and work engagement of 10 preschool teachers.The results show that : 1.the work-life quality of preschool teachers is generally at the upper middle level;the work-life quality and its dimensions of preschool teachers show one or more significant differences in age,teaching age,educational background,professional title,class size,marital status,kindergarten nature and employment mode;2.the work engagement of preschool teachers is generally above the middle level;the work engagement of preschool teachers and its dimensions show one or more significant differences in age,teaching age,educational background,professional title,class size,marital status,kindergarten nature and employment mode.3.There is a significant positive correlation between the work-life quality and work engagement of preschool teachers;4.regression analysis shows that the work-life quality of preschool teachers can positively predict their work engagement,that is,the higher the level of work-life quality,the higher the level of work engagement.Based on the above results,some suggestions are put forward to improve the work-life quality of preschool teachers.Government level: to protect the labor rights and interests of non-government employed preschool teachers to meet the needs of survival;guide fair evaluation of preschool teachers,improve social status to meet social needs;strict supervision of kindergarten class quotas,in accordance with the standard allocation of funds and teachers.Kindergarten level: strengthen the cultivation of preschool teachers ’ professional ability and improve their work competence;create a good and harmonious working atmosphere,enhance the sense of belonging of kindergarten teachers;establish a reasonable and fair assessment system,develop a sound promotion mechanism to meet the needs of self-realization.Personal level:maintain a positive attitude,brave to meet the challenge;develop career planning,and constantly enhance the core competitiveness;uphold the concept of lifelong education and improve self-professionalism.
