In 2022,the Ministry of Education revised the curriculum for compulsory education and the curriculum standards for various subjects,and the History Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)added an "interdisciplinary thematic learning" section to the curriculum content.In the History curriculum,10% of the total lesson time is dedicated to interdisciplinary thematic learning.Interdisciplinary thematic learning aims to break down barriers between disciplines,strengthen disciplinary links and bring about synergy in the curriculum.The development of interdisciplinary thematic learning activities in the teaching of history guides students to use the knowledge,skills and methods of history and other disciplines to carry out comprehensive practical activities to solve real-life problems,in line with the new requirements of the compulsory history curriculum standards.The development of students’ learning activities needs to be guided by teachers,and the teaching design affects the quality and effectiveness of teachers’ "teaching" and students’ "learning".The article takes interdisciplinary thematic teaching design as the research object.Based on the collection of relevant literature at home and abroad,the article firstly defines the concept of interdisciplinary thematic teaching design,clarifies the basic connotation of the research object and elucidates the theoretical basis of the research.Secondly,in order to understand the current situation of interdisciplinary theme teaching in junior high school history,a questionnaire survey was used to investigate some junior high school history teachers in Henan Province,and through the analysis of the survey results,it was found that the implementation of interdisciplinary theme teaching in junior high school history is feasible,but in the teaching process there are still problems such as teachers’ insufficient understanding of interdisciplinary theme teaching,low frequency of implementing interdisciplinary theme teaching,single form of interdisciplinary theme teaching,and The lack of systematic theoretical guidance and practical training for teachers is one of the main reasons for the problems.Based on the results of the questionnaire survey,the principles that should be adhered to in the design of interdisciplinary theme teaching in junior high school history are clarified in the light of the history curriculum standards for compulsory education,and the strategies and basic paths of interdisciplinary theme teaching design are summarised.Finally,a case study of interdisciplinary theme teaching design on the theme of "Tracing Historical Memory,Passing on Revolutionary Spirit" is presented to help teachers better understand the theories related to interdisciplinary theme teaching design,with a view to providing reference for junior high school history teachers to implement interdisciplinary theme teaching.
