With the rapid development of information technology,the tourism industry in China is booming,and the demand for process and service talents in related markets is expanding.Secondary vocational schools also pay more attention to cultivating learners’ practical operation ability,and the course "Tour Guide Practice" has an important role in cultivating applied talents in tourism services.However,in the current teaching practice,there are some phenomena,such as lack of teaching resources,learners’ low interest in learning,poor autonomous learning ability,and many problems in the practice process,which are not conducive to improving learners’ practical ability and professional quality.The vigorous development of educational informatization provides policy and technical support for the design and development of new forms of teaching resources.Therefore,the author tries to combine short video teaching resources with the course of Tour Guide Practice in secondary vocational schools to enrich the teaching resources of this tourism course.Under the guidance of constructivism learning theory,micro-learning theory and audio-visual education theory,this study makes an in-depth investigation on the teaching status of Tour Guide Practice in secondary vocational schools and the use of short video teaching resources through literature research,questionnaire survey and interview survey.It is found that there is a lack of high-quality teaching short video resources at present,which leads to teachers’ inability to accurately select and apply short videos in teaching work.On this basis,the teaching content of Tour Guide Practice is analyzed,and the learners,teachers and teaching environment are analyzed to pave the way for the follow-up research.Next,the design principles and key points of teaching short video are discussed.The design of short video should follow the principles of brevity,education,systematic Ness and interaction.Then discuss the design points of short video,analyze which teaching content should be made into short video,and what kind of short video can be used to achieve the teaching goal,sort out the content that can be made into short video,and then design the script of short video.Finally,according to the analysis of teaching content and short video,four types of teaching short video are designed as examples respectively.Through investigation and analysis and the design of teaching short video,it is found that the appearance of teaching short video can effectively solve the problems existing in the traditional classroom teaching of Tour Guide Practice.Teachers can have more practice to complete teaching work,and students can ask teachers questions at any time,thus improving students’ enthusiasm for learning this course.In addition,when designing short teaching videos,students and courses should be comprehensively analyzed first,so as to design short teaching videos according to the characteristics of students’ needs and learning rules.At the same time,the content of teaching short video should not be too large and the length should be moderate,so as to facilitate learners to master it.
