Due to the large population base and huge medical demand, the medical industry has been developing rapidly and steadily in recent years, and the hospital reception capacity has been greatly improved compared with before.Nurses play an important role, not only to provide patients with professional and meticulous nursing services, but also to ensure the steady development of our medical industry. In this process, nurses not only bear the high-intensity work load and increasingly heavy life pressure, but also add a lot of mental pressure due to the tense doctor-patient relationship, and even suffer from various kinds of medical violence. This has also led to an increasingly high proportion of professional stress among Chinese nurses. But at present, the research of nurses occupation pressure from the perspective of social work practical intervention is less, most of the research is from the perspective of psychology and management science.Based on this, this paper uses the occupational stress scale to measure the occupational stress of nurses in all departments of Liuzhou Z Hospital, and the scale data results show that the overall occupational stress of nurses in the department of gastroenterology is higher than that in other departments. The author formulated an interview outline by combining the measurement data of nurses’ occupational stress scale and stressors scale, and conducted in-depth interviews on the occupational stress and stressors of nurses in the department of gastroenterology. It was found that the main reasons for the greater occupational stress of nurses in the department of gastroenterology in Z Hospital of Liuzhou City compared with other departments are that the department has more diseases available for treatment,a large number of patients, fewer in-service nurses and a low ratio of nurse to patient. In addition, frequent shifts increased the workload of nurses in the department of gastroenterology.Secondly, due to the diagnosis and treatment characteristics of the department, there are more infectious disease patients in the department of gastroenterology than in other departments, which increases the risk of infection in the nursing process of nurses. Finally, due to the lack of recognition of nurses, some patients believe that nurses lack professional knowledge and lack of respect for nurses, thus causing nurse-patient conflicts.Gastroenterology nurses have insomnia, headache, poor appetite and other adverse physiological performance after being affected by greater occupational pressure.Psychological anxiety, depression, lack of work motivation and low mood and other adverse performance; In life,it often leads to family conflicts and weak social willingness due to high occupational pressure. Therefore,in view of gastroenterology nurses with high occupational pressure, this paper based on the perspective of social work, through the use of questionnaire survey,semi-structured interview and participant observation method to deeply understand the personal situation of gastroenterology nurses. Finally, based on the factors such as high occupational pressure and strong willingness to participate in case work, nurse W was selected as the service object.Based on the actual needs of the service target, combined with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and social support theory, this paper uses the method of case social work to conduct practical exploration on the occupational stress relief of gastroenterology nurses, find out feasible strategies to relieve occupational stress, summarize the experience of relieving occupational stress, and reflect on the deficiencies of the case process. And through individual, organization and social and other levels to provide countermeasures and suggestions to relieve the professional pressure of gastroenterology nurses,in order to achieve the relief of gastroenterology nurses occupational pressure, improve work efficiency and nursing quality,to build an excellent medical team.
