College students from families with financial difficulties have their own special growth background and life experience, and the poverty of family economy is the main life dilemma they face.At the same time, there are many practical problems that need to be faced by the family’s economic difficulties,so this group faces many challenge and pressure in the growth process.Under pressure, how to achieve personal growth and development, how to change the original life trajectory,is their internal instinctive reaction to pressure. This paper takes the core element of resilience from the perspective of superiority as the research content, uses life course theory to deeply explore the triggering factors and generation mechanism of the group’s resilience, and attempts to interpret the process of stimulating and acting on the resilience of the group in difficult situations in a positive sense. The research adopts a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods.Firstly,100 students(a total of 700 students)from each of the seven secondary colleges under the school were selected to investigate the overall level of resilience in Liuzhou T Vocational College as the research object. The study finds that the group generally have a good level of resilience, which is reflected in having a clear purpose in life, having a positive attitude towards difficulties, and being able to obtain some support from family and others. On the basis of quantitative analysis, the method of in-depth interview was used to interview 6 students from different poverty levels. In this paper, three important concepts of life course theory,"trajectory" "transformation" and "major events" are used to outline the life course of the interviewees and summarize the main forms of their resilience. On the basis of the life trajectory presented above, the four core themes of the life course theory —— "Life in a certain time and space" "interconnected life" "time appropriateness" and "individual initiative" are used to analyze the triggering factors of the stress tolerance of college students from families with financial difficulties. From the analysis,it is concluded that the group’s stress tolerance is generated in the context of mutual construction of social conditions and life stages, driven by social network, policy support and opportunity grasp, and finally in the play of individual subjective consciousness and active choice of behavior. Then, based on the interaction model between individual and environment, the operating mechanism of stress resistance is analyzed. The operation of this mechanism starts from the stress source breaking the original equilibrium state, takes the interaction between individual protective factors and risk factors as the process, and finally produces the result of the operation mechanism of stress resistance through the coping methods taken by individuals.Based on the information obtained from the questionnaire, combined with in-depth interview and analysis,it is found that the stress tolerance of college students from poor families presents a good positive level, and the results of its mechanism can be adapted or reconstructed.
