Under The Strategy Of "Caring For The Community" A Case Study On Stress Relief Of Disable Family Caregivers For The Elderly

With the aging of the population,the number of disabled and semi-disabled elderly people in China is increasing,and the corresponding family caregivers are becoming increasingly prominent.However,our government and society often ignore the needs of this special group and do not give them enough support and care.Nowadays,the family structure in our country is becoming smaller and smaller,and due to the children’s work,study and marriage,many family caregivers of the disabled elderly have limited social support,so they have to bear the responsibility and obligation of caring for the elderly alone.Due to the heavy burden of long-term care,the physical and mental pressure of family caregivers is huge,which will lead to negative effects such as bad emotions,alienation of family relations and social fear,which requires our reflection and attention.As a social worker,we should uphold the professional concept of helping others and helping themselves,and use the methods and skills of social work to help family caregivers of disabled elderly people reduce their care burden and relieve their physical and mental stress.Community care model is divided into three major strategies,namely,community care,community care and community care.Among them,community care is a working strategy specifically aimed at relieving the pressure of caregivers.In this study,case service is carried out based on the stress of family caregivers of disabled elderly people.Through interviews and participatory observation,data are collected.After summarizing and analyzing the data,it is concluded that the clients have physical,psychological,family and nursing training pressures.Therefore,this paper takes community care as an intervention method,and relies on the theory of social support and the theory of dominant perspective to intervene from three levels: individual,family and community.Through psychological counseling,linking government and community resources,and organizing family conversations,this paper provides respite services for clients,reduces their care burden and relieves their physical and mental stress.Finally,by comparing the pre-and post-test data of clients and carrying out follow-up services,it is determined that community care strategy is an effective way to relieve the pressure of family caregivers of disabled elderly people.In view of the above-mentioned main influencing factors,in order to better help family caregivers relieve stress,social workers believe that: first,the government should increase formal support for family caregivers and provide corresponding service support according to their actual needs;Second,the community needs to integrate and improve public health resources,and equip a considerable number of professional nursing staff with nursing,medical care,mental health and other related skills;Third,social workers should constantly improve their professional level and master professional knowledge and skills.
