With the introduction of the "Double Reduction" policy and the promulgation of The Family Education Promotion Law,family education has received more extensive attention and support. As the main body of family education, parents will have a great influence on their children’s learning involvement in the process of learning.Past studies have laid great emphasis on the impact of parental participation on learning enga gement. But how indeed do individual motivational and emotional factors work in parental a cademic and learning engagement? What is its effect mechanism? These issues demand furth er efforts. Therefore, based on social cognition theory and academic emotion cognition-motivation model, this study studied the relationship among parents’ academic engagement,self-education expectation, positive academic emotion and learning engagement, and constructed a moderated mediation model to reveal the influencing mechanism of junior high school students’ learning engagement. In this study,947 junior high school students were selected as the research objects, and the subjects were tested with the Questionnaire of Parents’ Academic Involvement,Self-Education Expectation Scale,Adolescent Academic Emotion Questionnaire and Learning Engagement Scale.SPSS software was used to analyze and process the data, and the results showed that:(1)There is a significant difference between genders in positive academic emotions; There is a significant difference in learning engagement among grades. There were significant differences in Parental academic involvement,self-education expectation and positive academic emotions in family location and grade.(2)There is a significant correlation between Parental academic involvement,self-education expectation, positive academic emotion and learning engagement.(3)Self-educational expectation plays a partially mediating role in Parental academic involvement and learning engagement.(4)Positive academic emotion plays a moderating role in the first half of the mediation model. Therefore, this study draws the following conclusions:Parental academic involvement can not only directly affect junior middle school students’ learning engagement behavior, but also indirectly affect them through self-education expectation. When the level of positive academic emotion of junior high school students is low, parental academic participation has a significant impact on self-education expectation, while when the level of positive academic emotion of junior high school students is high, parental academic participation has no significant impact on self-education expectation. Therefore, the author suggests that we should reasonably strengthen the strength of Parental academic involvement, promote the growth of students’ positive academic emotions, enhance students’ educational expectations,so as to promote the occurrence of junior high school students’ learning engagement behavior.
