School education investment as an emerging research hotspots in recent years,much attention has been paid to start but because of its influence in both definition and mechanism study on also has many differences,although has done more to academic research in recent years,but mainly concentrated in the school level and individual level,the lack of consideration on the family level factors,therefore,Parents in this study for the system test the family factor input and education expectations and personal factors can constitute the academic self-efficacy impact studies into the chain of intermediary role to formulate the questionnaire of the parents’ education expectation,the parents education involved in the questionnaire and the academic self-efficacy scale of middle school students "and" behavioral and emotional education input and out questionnaire to widely 550 middle school students from four urban middle schools and suburban middle schools in Nanning and Liuzhou of west Zhuang Autonomous Region were tested,and the results are as follows:(1)The academic investment of junior high school students is generally above the middle level,and the level of behavioral investment is higher than that of emotional investment.(2)In terms of demographic differences,there are significant differences in the academic investment of junior high school students in grades,regions and study methods.Among them,the scores of students in the first grade of junior high school are significantly higher than those in the second and third grades of junior high school;the scores of students in urban areas are significantly higher than those in suburban areas District students;day students scored significantly higher than boarding students;but there were no significant differences in gender and whether they were single children.(3)There is a significant positive correlation among parents’ educational expectations,parental engagement,academic self-efficacy and academic engagement.(4)Parental educational expectations can not only affect academic engagement through parental engagement and academic self-efficacy as mediators,but also indirectly affect academic engagement through the chain-mediated mediation effect of parental engagement and academic self-efficacy.In conclusion,the analysis of this study confirms that there is a chain mediating effect between parents’ educational expectation and academic engagement,and the effect is significant.
