Labour education is an essential part of the construction of a high-quality education system in China.Since the National Education Conference in 2018,when General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed an education system for the comprehensive development of moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetic and labour education,important documents related to labour education,such as the Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Labour Education in Schools and Universities in the New Era,the Guidance Outline on Labour Education in Schools and Universities(for Trial Implementation)and the Compulsory Education Labour Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition),have been released one after another,fully demonstrating the Party Central Committee’s efforts to make up for the This shows the firm determination and systematic planning of the Central Party to make up for the shortcomings of labour education.The integration of labour education in schools and universities is an inherent requirement for the innovative development of labour education,and is an inevitable trend to improve the quality of labour education.This study is based on the reality of the integrated construction of labour education in schools and colleges,provides an in-depth analysis of the problems that exist in the integrated construction,and finally lands on the realization path of the integrated construction of labour education in schools and colleges.The full paper consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction.It describes the background and significance of the study,analyses the current situation of the research on the integration of labour education in schools and universities in academia at home and abroad,and briefly states the research content,research methods,research highlights and innovations of this paper.The second part is the elucidation of concepts.Firstly,the connotations of the integration of labour education and its related concepts are sorted out and clarified.Secondly,it analyses and clarifies the educational objectives and key contents of labour education carried out in each school level in primary and secondary schools,so as to realise the unification of the stages of labour education objectives with the holistic approach,with primary schools focusing on labour awareness and habit formation,junior high schools focusing on labour knowledge education and cultivating good qualities,senior high schools exercising labour skills in the form of vocational experience,and universities focusing on the cultivation of creative labour.The third part is theoretical guidance and policy guidelines.The theoretical guidance and policy guidelines for the integration of labour education are sorted out.In terms of theoretical guidance,the theoretical essence is drawn from the ideas of classical Marxist writers on labour education,the latest achievements are learnt from Xi Jinping’s Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,the labour lineage is inherited from the excellent Chinese traditional culture,and the doctrinal support is sought from theories of moral cognitive development;in terms of policy guidance,the development and evolution of policies related to labour education and its integration since the founding of New China are summarised and sorted out.In terms of policy guidance,we will summarise the development and evolution of policies related to labour education and its integration since the founding of New China,outline development experiences and draw lessons.The fourth part is reality support.The empirical research method was used to investigate and analyse the current situation of the integrated construction of labour education in schools and universities.A questionnaire was carefully designed and administered to a total of 1,150 students and teachers in university,primary and secondary schools in Tianjin to summaries the positive progress made so far as well as the difficulties faced,in order to reflect the objective reality and real situation of the integration of labour education in primary and secondary schools,and to explore the root causes of the problems from four dimensions: government,school,family and society.The fifth part is the exploration of countermeasures.Targeted suggestions are made for the integrated construction of labour education from the Party and the State,the government,schools,families and society in multiple dimensions: strengthening the Party’s leadership of labour education and insisting on the establishment of moral education;the government strengthening the overall promotion and pushing forward the implementation of policies;schools innovating the curriculum system and enriching the content structure;families and society collaborating to educate people and forming a joint effort in education. |
