Aesthetic quality is an important part of the core Chinese quality.The Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education issued in 2022 mentioned in many places that students’ aesthetic quality should be cultivated in the process of Chinese teaching.Ancient poetry plays an important role in the Chinese teaching class of junior high school and serves as a bridge for the inheritance and development of excellent traditional Chinese culture.It is one of the essential ways to cultivate students’ aesthetic quality,and its status has been gradually improved.The connection between the teaching of ancient poetry and students’ aesthetic quality is becoming more and more close,which requires the teaching of ancient poetry to constantly explore the aesthetic value closely integrated in the teaching process of ancient poetry.Through questionnaire,interview and classroom observation,this study comprehensively analyzes the problems existing in the cultivation of students’ aesthetic quality in the middle school Chinese ancient poetry teaching classroom as follows: The teaching objectives of ancient poetry by teachers ignore four aspects: the cultivation of students’ aesthetic quality,the teaching concept of ancient poetry aesthetic teaching established by teachers is not based on the learning situation,the teaching content of ancient poetry aesthetic teaching selected by teachers is not comprehensive,and the teaching method of ancient poetry can not stimulate students’ aesthetic interest.After analyzing the existing problems,it is found that the main reasons lie in the outdated goal of teachers’ aesthetic teaching,the limitation of teachers’ aesthetic education ability,the lack of overall planning of teachers’ aesthetic teaching content of ancient poetry,and the simplification of teachers’ aesthetic teaching methods.Based on the analysis of the existing problems and causes of the cultivation of aesthetic quality in the teaching of ancient poetry in junior high school,this study puts forward the strategies conducive to the cultivation of students’ aesthetic quality in the teaching of ancient poetry in junior high school from three aspects: teaching concept,teaching content,teaching methods:First,deepen the teaching concept of ancient poetry and focus the teaching on the aesthetic quality of students.Second,enrich the teaching methods of ancient poetry and construct the aesthetic classroom of ancient poetry for students.Thirdly,reorganize the teaching content of ancient poetry and construct the "concentric circle" of ancient poetry aesthetics.
