| The Ministry of Education,in promulgating the Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition),points out that it is necessary to reflect the value of nurturing people in teaching mathematics and promote students’ development of core knowledge,while deep learning is crucial to the realization of core knowledge.Functions run through middle school algebra,which contains a wealth of mathematical ideas.In order to promote middle school students’ comprehension and learning of functions,this paper investigates the teaching of functions in middle school with the help of relevant theories of deep learning.The main methods used in this paper are literature research,questionnaire survey and interview method.The literature research method was used to understand the current state of deep learning research in education both in China and abroad,and to review the relevant research and define the concepts.The questionnaire method was used to analyze the three first-level dimensions of knowledge,ability and emotion,and it was found that most junior high school students had some difficulties in learning functions and were in the lower middle level and some of them had low self-evaluation in learning.Using the interview method,it was found that some teachers had a single way of evaluating students in the classroom and lacked deep decomposition,processing and reorganization of knowledge in teaching.In response to the problems that emerged from the research study,this paper began to analyze the teaching elements of deep learning of functions in middle school from four perspectives: teachers,students,teaching contents,and teaching methods,teachers should keep learning,start from the cognitive situation of students,clarify the specific requirements of the textbook and the new standards,structure the content of functions,pay attention to teaching methods,and help students learn to learn.Then,combining the questionnaires and interviews,we formulated the teaching strategies for deep learning of functions in middle school: preparing practical teaching objectives,setting contextualized teaching problems,choosing rational teaching methods,and adopting diversified teaching evaluation.Finally,the instructional design and implementation of middle school function deep learning are constructed and implemented.The construction is divided into four large parts according to the overall analysis of middle school function content,including the choice of middle school function learning theme,the identification of learning goals,the design of learning events and the development of learning assessment.The most important part is the design of learning activities.The instructional design refers to the DELC in-depth learning route,which includes analysis,formulation,preparation,acquisition,processing,application,reflection,and evaluation from three time periods: before,during,and after instruction.Before teaching,we should first analyze students,textbooks and mathematics curriculum standards,then set teaching objectives and teaching priorities,and prepare in advance the teaching methods and teaching tools to be used in this lesson;during teaching,we should acquire knowledge by creating situations and activating old knowledge,use knowledge decomposition,knowledge construction and knowledge assimilation to process knowledge,and use knowledge transfer and knowledge application to apply knowledge;after teaching,we should evaluate and there are many ways of evaluation,including teacher evaluation,self-evaluation and peer evaluation,and we should choose the appropriate evaluation method to evaluate students in the teaching process.The implementation aspect is oriented to the eighth grade students in the author’s unit,taking the topic of primary function learning as an example,from the concept,graph and properties,and application of primary function,three important knowledge points,combined with the framework constructed to design the corresponding teaching cases,respectively,the teaching design analysis.This paper embeds deep learning theory in the teaching design of middle school functions,providing new ideas for front-line teachers’ practical teaching,and the teaching strategies and suggestions put forward in this paper also provide some reference for teaching middle school functions in front-line classrooms. |
