Function is one of the core contents of junior middle school mathematics curriculum,and function teaching is also the important and difficulty of junior middle school mathematics teaching.How to enable tutors to move students beyond the shallow learning characterized by single thinking and rote learning,help learners transform their motivation,construct and integrate,think and reflect,and then achieve the level of deep learning,which is the response to the development of mathematics teaching,and is also the only way to cultivate learners' core quality and deepen the teaching reform.Based on the above background,this paper conducted an investigation on the status of function content learning for junior high school students.The investigation results found that there were existing problems,such as motivation,low level of information integration,lack of higher-order thinking and so on.Based on the interviews with the front-line teachers of this grade,it is discovered that the evaluation methods of learning and the comprehensive teaching ability of teachers will affect the deep learning of students to some extent.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper proposes the following teaching strategies to promote deep learning: create realistic problem situations to convey the principles of knowledge;Set up a benign problem chain to improve the intrinsic learning motivation;Advocate interactive learning,enrich the way of knowledge acquisition;Adopt pluralistic evaluation to promote the sustainability of learning.This paper also constructs a teaching process to promote functional deep learning in junior high school,which is: the early stage: analysis and determination,creating atmosphere,introducing new knowledge,the middle stage: acquisition and application,and the late stage:evaluation and reflection.In addition,each stage is expounded and explained from several aspects.Moreover,the image and nature of binary quadratic function in junior middle school function are taught in the later stage of this study.
