According to the requirements of the new curriculum standard(2022 edition),skipping rope is an important physical education teaching project in middle schools.In recent years,with the reform of senior high school entrance examination in physical education,skipping has become a compulsory or important optional item in senior high school entrance examination in physical education,and its importance has been greatly improved.Improving skipping performance through appropriate methods is not only the need of students’ physical and mental growth,but also of great significance for students to improve their scores in senior high school entrance examination in physical examination.Rhythm practice is a method of training sports with the help of rhythm,which combines sports with the law of specific music rhythm change to carry out training.Skipping rope is a continuous repetitive action project,and the change of rhythm has a direct impact on the process and result of skipping rope.Based on this,it is of great theoretical reference and practical value to explore the application of rhythm practice in middle school students’ teaching and analyze the influence of rhythm practice on middle school students’ skipping performance.By using the methods of literature review,questionnaire,experiment,mathematical statistics and expert interview,80 students from Guangzhou Bayi Experimental School were taken as the experimental objects to carry out a three-month rhythm practice skipping experiment.The experimental group arranged specialized rhythm exercises related to technical movements in the skipping class,and set the rhythm exercises in three stages to 120 times/minute,140 times/minute and160 times/minute respectively,while the control group did.Through the comparison and analysis of two groups of experiments,the main conclusions are as follows:1.At present,the importance of physical education has been greatly improved,and skipping has become an important item in the physical education senior high school entrance examination.It is necessary for students to improve their skipping ability for one minute through practice and improve their scores in the physical education senior high school entrance examination.2.Practicing skipping by rhythm can effectively improve students’ lower limb muscle strength,speed quality and endurance quality,but it has little improvement on upper limb strength(boys),core muscle strength(girls)and flexibility quality.Compared with conventional rope skipping teaching,rhythm practice has a more obvious effect on improving students’ physical fitness.3.By carrying out a three-month rhythmic skipping experiment for junior high school students,the skipping times of boys in the experimental group increased from131 times to 168 times,and those of girls in the experimental group increased from123 times to 172 times.Compared with the conventional skipping teaching method,it is proved that rhythmic practice can greatly improve the total skipping times of students in one minute and reduce the skipping mistakes of students.4.Slow-paced practice has no obvious improvement on students’ skipping times,but it can greatly reduce the number of mistakes and improve the stability and accuracy of skipping skills;Fast-paced practice has obviously improved the number of skipping,but with the improvement of rhythm speed,the number of skipping mistakes of students has gradually increased.The combination of fast and slow rhythm has better training effect.5.The application of rhythm practice in skipping teaching can obviously enhance students’ interest in skipping.When skipping with the music beat,students can better master the skills of skipping to standardize their own movements,and their willingness to choose 1-minute skipping as a physical education senior high school entrance examination item is enhanced.
