| With the development of the economy,the demand for labor in cities is constantly increasing,which not only accelerates the urbanization process,but also makes the size of the migrant population grow rapidly and become an important driving power of China’s economic and social development.The trend of family-oriented migrant population is becoming more and more obvious,and their children flow into the city together and become migrant children.As the parents of migrant children are not well educated,they are unable to provide scientific education and training for migrant children.Combined with the urban-rural gap and environmental mobility,migrant children face a series of problems in education.For the difficulties faced by migrant children in learning ability,social work intervention is called to enhance their learning ability to promote their learning progress,better integrate with urban education,help them build self-confidence in the process of enhancing their learning ability,and reduce the pressure of life of migrant people.This study used participant observation and interview method to understand the current situation of learning ability of migrant children in X village in G city,and analyzed the problems faced by the learning ability of this group: first,insufficient observation of life and lack of systematic observation;second,lack of active thinking and insufficient creative imagination;third,insufficient interest in reading and lack of seriousness in the reading process;fourth,inaccurate language expression and lack of courage to express.We also analyzed the reasons for the problems of migrant children’s learning ability at the individual,family,school and community levels.In this way,we analyzed their needs: first,to develop interest in observation and master observation methods;second,to learn to think actively and improve their thinking ability;third,to develop interest in reading and learn reading ways;fourth,to learn to open their mouths bravely and improve their language expression.Based on the above premise,social workers intervened through group work,guided by the strengths perspective and social support theory,to provide strengths exploration,game coaching,interest entry,ability enhancement and resource linkage for eight migrant children.In the practice,social workers helped the clients to explore their potential,developed observation skills,learned to think actively,developed reading habits and express themselves courageously,thus enhanced their learning ability.The evaluation of the effectiveness of the practice showed that the theoretical guidance was feasible,the group work method was effective,the handbook and game tutoring methods were more suitable for migrant children.Through the intervention of group work,the lack of learning ability of migrant children in the field of practice had been bridged.The study found that migrant children had their own strengths,needs and aspirations in learning ability,and there were many resources in the community to be explored,and it took perseverance to enhance the learning ability of migrant children. |
