It is one of the major tasks of school education to help students improve their creativity and problem-solving ability and cultivate innovative talents.As a method and concept to cultivate students ’ creative problem-solving,design thinking and STEAM education are in line with the needs of contemporary society for innovative talents.By combing the literature,it is found that the application of design thinking in the field of education is of great significance.It is a kind of thinking ability for students to adapt to social development.The application of design thinking in school education is a highquality choice for cultivating innovative people.At the same time,design thinking plays a guiding role in STEAM education.Integrating design thinking on the basis of STEAM education concept can effectively improve students ’ creativity and problem-solving ability.In addition,it is also found that design thinking is inextricably linked to STEAM education.However,design thinking has not been effectively integrated into STEAM education,and there is a lack of teaching activity framework that can be used for practical guidance at the micro level.How to effectively integrate design thinking into STEAM education with practical teaching and promote the development of students ’creativity and problem-solving ability is the purpose of this study.This study systematically combs the research status of STEAM education,design thinking and STEAM education integrated with design thinking in domestic and foreign literature,analyzes the relevant models of STEAM education concept and training design thinking,and provides a theoretical basis for constructing a STEAM teaching activity framework integrated with design thinking.Based on the analysis of the integration of design thinking in STEAM education and the integration of design thinking process and the STEAM education stage,the STEAM education activity framework integrating design thinking is initially constructed.This paper selects the students who choose the ’ three-dimensional design and creativity ’ module of high school information technology in the first grade of Y middle school in D city as the research object,and applies the designed framework to the ’ three-dimensional design and creativity ’ module teaching to carry out action research.At the end of the study,through a comprehensive analysis of creativity,problem solving ability,student work,student participation analysis and teacher-student interview data,it was found that students’ creativity and problem solving ability were effectively improved,and students had a high level of participation in this activity,reflecting the feasibility and effectiveness of the STEAM teaching activity framework incorporating design thinking.The study draws the following conclusions by analyzing the relevant data :(1)The STEAM teaching activity framework integrated with design thinking is constructed and improved,which can improve the teaching effect of the " three-dimensional design and creativity " module of high school information technology;(2)The STEAM teaching activities integrated with design thinking can effectively improve the innovation of students ’ works,promote the development of students ’ creativity,and effectively improve students ’ problem-solving ability in the process of designing and making products;(3)The creative disposition and the ability to think creatively are two different aspects of creativity,and they constitute creativity. |
