| STEAM Education is an acronym for Science,Technology,Engineering,Arts and Mathematics,promoting interdisciplinary education,and using multidisciplinary thinking and knowledge to solve practical problems.STEAM education originated from the STEM education in the United States initially,added the Arts course at the later practical exploration,and formed the present STEAM education ultimately.Problem solving competency is the core accomplishment of personnel training in the21 st century,and the important embodiment of intelligence.The important value of problem solving competency was also emphasized in the Chinese Student Development Core Literacy published in 2016.A children STEAM education platform based on problem solving competency training was designed and constructed.By means of literature and interview,the author analyzed the development status of STEAM education and STEAM education platform at home and abroad,and made a survey on the needs of schools,teachers and children,designed and constructed A STEAM education network platform with four modules "STEAM Education Lessons","Creative Resources","Creative Space" and "background Management".The platform used questions and activities as input,online and offline resource delivery and teacher guidance as support,interactive communication,problem solving and work generation as output.In order to test the application effect of the platform,ten STEAM courses were designed,and 12 children were selected to conduct application experiments.The observation method was used to record the children’s problem-solving ability evaluation and data analysis.The STEAM education platform based on problem-solving ability was found to solve the problem of children.The ability to solve has a positive impact on the three levels of problem attitude,problem solving and problem solving quality.The problem of children’s problem solving has changed greatly from the early to the middle of the experiment,and it tends to be stable from the middle to the end.difference.Among them,influenced by the difference of interest and gender in thinking mode,the change of problem solving ability of boys in online platform-style STEAM education activities is more obvious than that of girls.Age has a great impact on children’s problem-solving methods and quality improvement.The problem solving methods and problem-solving quality of children of high age are better than those of low-age children.In the division of labor of the STEAM education activity group,the overall understanding of the problem-solving process and the participatory division of responsibilities are more conducive to the improvement of children’s problem-solving ability.The use of the STEAM education network platform has a positive impact on children’s problem-solving ability.The online platform helps children discover problems,clarify goals,communicate effectively with others,stimulate children’s problem-solving interests,help children to change the perspective of things,and explore More ways to solve problems,thereby improving the quality of problem-solving results. |
