Junior high school students are in adolescence,and may have conflicts with teachers in their learning career.This conflict will affect the relationship between teachers and students,which is not conducive to the improvement of work and learning efficiency,and even will affect the rapid development of the school and produce bad social effects.So how can we solve the conflict between teachers and students,so that the negative impact of the conflict between teachers and students can be transformed into educational value? Contingency theory provides us with a new perspective and direction of conflict resolution between teachers and students in junior high schools.Because contingency theory is a theory that solves problems according to the dynamic change and development of organizational structure.Therefore,this study attempts to explore strategies to resolve teacher-student conflict from the perspective of the power change theory,and uses a variety of research methods to comprehensively sort out and summarize the theoretical data related to teacher-student conflict.Then,combined with domestic research results,it analyzes the current situation and characteristics of the conflict between junior high school teachers and students in the compulsory education stage,focuses on analyzing the causes of the conflict between junior high school teachers and students,and uses the power change theory to find out the countermeasures to solve the conflict between teachers and students.This study selected four different types of junior middle schools in Xinzhou City,Shanxi Province as the research object.Through in-depth investigation,we learned about the current situation of the conflict between teachers and students,analyzed the existing problems and reasons,and combined with the actual situation of school education and teaching work,proposed specific countermeasures,hoping to effectively resolve the conflict and help teachers and students establish a good relationship,At the same time,it also hopes to provide some experience and reference for the conflict resolution between teachers and students in different situations or environments,so as to realize the common growth of teachers and students.The following findings are obtained through empirical research:(1)The rapid development of modern society,the widespread application of information technology,and the enhancement of students’ self-consciousness have put forward more and more requirements for teachers,which have brought many impacts on teachers’ authority.(2)In today’s society,most of the conflicts between teachers and students in junior high school are positive conflicts,and the proportion of non positive conflicts is getting lower and lower.(3)Different types of schools also have obvious differences in the frequency of teacher-student conflict.Most of the students who have a harmonious relationship with teachers and few buses are key junior middle schools in the urban area,while the conflict between teachers and students in general junior middle schools occurs more frequently,and the relationship between teachers and students is also tense.(4)Students’ personality characteristics,family background,academic achievements and whether they are class leaders have a significant impact on teacher-student conflict.(5)Indicators that have no significant impact on the frequency of teacher-student conflict include teachers’ gender,while those that have relatively significant impact include teachers’ age and whether they are head teachers.In addition,the subjects they teach also have a significant impact.Dialectically,the conflict between teachers and students has both negative effects and certain educational value.Because it at least shows that there is interaction between teachers and students.Therefore,in the face of the conflict between teachers and students,teachers should actively accept and use the conflict,and take it as a resource of teaching activities.Through effective guidance,conflicts can be resolved,and students’ depression can also be resolved.However,in most cases,the conflict between teachers and students has a certain negative impact,not all of which has educational value.It is necessary to comprehensively analyze the nature of the conflict itself and the subsequent handling methods,and then judge whether there is educational value.Therefore,it is necessary to adopt certain strategies to resolve the conflict between teachers and students and maximize the educational value of the conflict between teachers and students.On this basis,this study puts forward some thoughts on how to resolve the conflict between teachers and students.Teachers should rebuild their authority,educate people,respect students,and strive to improve their professional quality and ability.Between students who are full of personality and individual differences,teachers should face up to the differences between students and enhance communication and trust between teachers and students.The school should also optimize the campus ecological environment,establish a perfect evaluation system and balance mechanism,resolve conflicts to the greatest extent,and achieve harmony between teachers and students.Furthermore,we should create a good environment for the whole society to respect teachers and education,so that every student can respect teachers from the bottom of his heart,which can reduce the probability of teacher-student conflict from the source.The specific approach is to achieve education balance to the greatest extent,carry out various forms of rule of law education,improve teachers’ social status,increase publicity,and form a social environment for respecting teachers and education.
