Research Objectives: Synchronized swimming is constantly developing in various countries,and the innovative requirements for movement choreography in sports competitions are also increasing.For action choreography,how to improve the vitality of synchronized swimming in the short term,how to show the charm of complete sets of movements,and choreographing them into overall movements has become the content that current designers need to consider,so this study studies the choreographic difficulty of the current four teams of synchronized swimming in the 2012,2016 and 2020 Olympic Games.Enrich China’s theoretical achievements in the movement of synchronized swimming collective free optional events;To improve the awareness of the coaches of China’s synchronized swimming team on the significance of difficult movements;Solve the problem of insufficient difficulty of China’s synchronized swimming collective free choice event.This paper uses the literature method,expert interview method,video observation method,comparative research method and mathematical statistics method to conduct research,watch the competition videos of the current four teams of synchronized swimming in the 2012,2016 and 2020 Olympic Games,and record the difficult movements of the current four teams of collective free free selection by using slow play,pause and other operations.The results of this paper are:(1)The rules of the collective free choice of synchronized swimming in the three Olympic Games have been constantly developing and changing,from the previous judgment without difficulty score,to the first time to use difficulty score as a judging standard,and then to the detailed division of difficulty score,it can be seen that difficulty score has become an important evaluation index in synchronized swimming competitions.(2)In the comparison of the top four difficulty movements of the 2012,2016 and 2020 Olympic Games synchronized swimming collective free self-selection,the leg movement techniques of the Russian team athletes were more fluent,and they were more proficient in formation changes,the difficulty of upper limb movements of the Chinese team,the Ukrainian team and the Japanese team was reduced,the types of lifting were rich,the formation changes were diverse,and the difficult movements gradually increased.(3)In terms of the artistic impression of the top four synchronized swimming collective free selection of the three Olympic Games in 2012,2016 and 2020,the Russian team is more difficult to choreograph.(4)The development trend of synchronized swimming collective free optional event arrangement is that the difficulty of leg combination movements and the difficulty of upper limb combination movements show a downward trend,the types of lifting movements lack diversity,the number of formation changes is reduced,the placement position of difficult movements develops in a balanced direction,the movements are more fluid,and the artistic impression is more original and inclusive.The research conclusions of this paper are:(1)The rules of the collective free choice purpose of synchronized swimming have been changing and changing,and more and more attention is paid to the difficulty score.(2)The difficulty of the top four synchronized swimming collective free selection in the 2012,2016 and 2020 Olympic Games gradually increased.(3)The top four free-selected synchronized swimming groups in the 2012,2016 and 2020 Olympic Games showed a single trend in the selection of music subjects,which had an impact on the choreography of difficult movements.(4)The development trend of synchronized swimming collective free choice project arrangement is developing in the direction of diversity,innovation and inclusiveness.
