| Synchronized swimming originated in Europe, which is called "artistic swimming" in France and Germany. It is also called "water ballet" or "fancy swimming".Synchronized swimming, as a team event, reflects skills and sport training level of a national synchronized swimming team. Therefore, since1996when it became an Olympic sport, the gold medal of this project has always been the goal every country aims at. Chinese synchronized swimming team was established28years ago, in1983. Because of generations’ effort, this team has been improving greatly in world ranking. On the one hand, the achievement shows us the promising prospect of Chinese team. On the other hand, we are facing a new project, that is, how Chinese synchronized swimming team can gain a foothold in the international arena, narrow the gap between Chinese team and other top teams and promote the sport level. Therefore, in order to realize our dream of winning the gold medal, we have to learn the present situation of synchronized swimming in the world, analyze its trend and make contributions to the development of Chinese synchronized swimming team.The author learns current study about this topic by reading the literatures about synchronized swimming through CNKI and then gets the scope of the index needed by this study. The subject of the study is the six top synchronized swimming teams in2008Olympics,2010World Cup and2011World Championship respectively. The index of the six top teams are got through studying the collective free routine by analyzing the videos of those competitions with statistical method of video analysis. Then, through the comparative analysis by using mathematical statistics and logical analysis, we will know the trend of collective free routine of synchronized swimming and the gap between Chinese team and other top teams.The conclusion is drawn after the study as follows:the coefficient of difficulty decreases in collective free routine. The variety, the completions and time of skills in turn and twirling of leg performance decrease. Showing the ability of skill trough pure difficult skill, which is not favored by judges, is not the main trend of the arrangement of skills in synchronized swimming currently. The performance of treading water is the weakness of Chinese team. The result of different analysis shows the big gap between Chinese team and other teams, which needs attention in the arrangement and training. Attention should be paid to the innovation of difficult strokes and the diversity of strokes. The skills should be perfected and the improvement of skills plays a critical role in free routine. The relationship of the upper limbs is an obvious advantage in collective free routine. The swimmer’s treading, propelling and distance increases every year, which plays an important role in synchronized swimming. We need to innovate our concept of arrangement and the guiding theory and make the most of our advantage. Team event is different from individual event. The way of its performance is the cooperation of swimmers. The cooperation shows swimmers’ability of skills. The formation, numbers of shapes, the blind-spot formation and the formation of handstand increase, such as more and more combinations and lifts. The swift change is the core of arrangement in collective free routine. Chinese team keeps the advantage of blind-spot strokes, intensive formation and the formation of handstand, performing the combination of skill and art successfully. The quality of execution of key strokes is very important in the final score of skills. Consequently, Chinese team should promote the strokes and explosive force in order to compensate the weakness and win the judges over. Chinese team should pay attention to the change and innovation of arrangement, learn from other countries and lead the trend both in skill and art. What is more, the whole set of free routine should be performed by strokes to show "themes" and breakthrough need be made in arrangement and art. |
