The new revised edition of the Compulsory Science Curriculum Standards builds on the original foundation of broadening and updating curriculum concepts and content with the goal of developing students’ core science literacy.Museum resources are important resources for promoting science learning, but they have not been fully utilized in science teaching and learning, and more high-quality museum resource-based science learning content needs to be developed. This study explores how digital museum resources can be used to design comprehensible science learning content. The study is divided into four parts: literature combing, preliminary survey, case study, and content design. The preliminary survey identified problems in the science teacher workforce, such as uneven teacher levels, more teachers with non-professional backgrounds, disadvantaged elementary school science teachers, and limited knowledge of museum resources. The case study summarizes three typical international cases of museum science teaching resources design. In the content design section, the study introduces the concept of "six sides" of understanding in reverse teaching to build a framework for learning content design in three dimensions:organization of learning resources, design of learning activities, and evaluation of learning effects, and summarizes the implementation path of learning content design. Finally, the study designed an elementary school science unit learning content, using the Asian elephant in Yunnan Province as the background of learning activities, and applying digital museum resources to teaching.
