Practical Research On Social Work To Improve Community Participation Of Urban Young Seniors

In the context of active aging,the elderly group has a lot to do,especially the younger elderly in the community,who are relatively healthy,have just retired from work,and have more free time,which has become the main force of community participation.Through community participation,young seniors can not only gain self-worth from it,but also create new value for the entire community.This study investigated the community participation of young elderly people in community M in Kunming City,analyzed the problems of low willingness to participate,poor participation channels and low enthusiasm for participation,and explored and analyzed the three factors that generated these problems: including individual level,family level and community level.Further research on the needs of the young elderly in M community concluded that there are the following four needs,including the need for interpersonal communication,the need for community cultural and recreational activities,the need to learn community participation knowledge and skills,and the need to provide a platform for participation.On this basis,under the guidance of the theory of advantage perspective and the theory of empowerment,a total of six group activities were designed,and the "old partners" volunteer service organization was cultivated to provide a platform for the young elderly to participate,and a "community environmental governance for the elderly" council was formed,so as to broaden the community participation channels of the young elderly in the M community,so that they could gain the efficacy of community participation and attract more young elderly people in the community to participate in community activities.Finally,the activities carried out were evaluated,and it was found that social work has achieved certain results in promoting the community participation of the young elderly,including the improvement of the awareness and ability of the community participation of the young and the elderly,and the deepening of the level of community participation of the young elderly.On the basis of this evaluation,suggestions were put forward to further optimize the design of activity services,improve the professional quality and ability of social workers,and build a long-term mechanism for community participation of young elderly people.
