Classical Chinese contains a long history and civilization,and the wisdom of great sages,which is the source of the nation’s endless development.However,in recent years,influenced by exam-oriented education,the teaching of classical Chinese in senior high school often stays at the shallow understanding of words and sentences and the general idea of the article,which is separated from the real life situation.Scattered questions and closed answers confine the development of students’ thinking,and it is hard to achieve the mission and responsibility of classical Chinese in leading students’ spiritual growth.In addition,after the release of the new textbook,the unit arrangement style has undergone major changes.It adopts the overall teaching design scheme of the unit with big concept,big task and big situation,taking "theme" and "task group" as the double clues,and taking the unit study assignments as the tongs,to integrate the learning resources of the unit and develop the core language literacy.This requires teachers to convert their teaching consciousness and lay stress on unit teaching.The first unit of the second volume of compulsory high school Chinese is the classical Chinese unit,which is delimited the assignment group of "speculative reading and expression" with the theme of "the light of Chinese civilization".Take this opportunity to carry out unit teaching design with the theme and learning task group as the double thread,so that students can explore the wisdom of ancient sages in classical Chinese in a more concentrated way,explore the Confucian and Taoist humanistic ideals in rich and interesting group reading,activate the vitality of traditional culture,and deepen the sense of national identity.Appreciate the art of historical and biographical language in collision discussion,contrastive reading and situational reduction,enrich students’ aesthetic experience,cultivate students’ questioning spirit and enhance critical thinking.The preface of this paper emphasize the reasons for the topic selection,the significance of the research,and the research status.The main body combines theory with practice and is mainly divided into the following four parts:The first chapter first outlines the relevant concepts of unit teaching,thematic unit teaching,and the "light of Chinese civilization" thematic unit teaching,then clarifies the overview of the classical Chinese unit in the unified compilation of high school Chinese textbooks,then expounds the basis of the classical Chinese unit teaching from the three aspects of Chinese curriculum,learning characteristics,and textbook text,and finally clarifies the value of the "light of Chinese civilization" thematic unit exploration.The second chapter analyzes the present situation of classical Chinese unit teaching in senior high school,and sums up the principal questions of classical Chinese unit teaching in senior high school through teachers’ questionnaires and students’ questionnaires.First,the quality is ignored,and the learning goal stays at the shallow level.Secondly,The learning content is limited to the textbook text.Thirdly,The teaching method is single,and the learning task lacks real situation.Fourthly,Ignoring the process,teaching evaluation is limited to knowledge evaluation.At the same time,attribution analysis is carried out from the perspectives of teachers,students and college entrance examination.The third chapter is the key point of the paper.On the basis of fully studying the new curriculum and the task group of "speculative reading and expression",fully absorbing the practical experience of predecessors on the teaching of classical Chinese units,according to the current situation of senior high school students’ learning of classical Chinese,this paper proposes specific strategies for the teaching of the theme unit of "light of Chinese civilization" in classical Chinese in senior high school: focusing on the theme,building the overall system of the unit;Read in groups to explore the humanistic ideals of Confucianism and Taoism;Read the text carefully and appreciate the art of historical and biographical language;Learn from the past and discuss the present,and comprehend the light of the intelligence of the ancients.The fourth chapter presents the overall design case of the teaching of the theme unit of "Light of Chinese Civilization" in classical Chinese according to the strategy proposed in the third chapter,and finally reflects on the deficiencies in the teaching design.
