Reasearch On Spiritual Consolation Of Demobilized Military Cadres In Group Work

With the change of the principal contradiction of Chinese society and the increasing improvement of people’s living standard,the demand structure of military cadres in retirement presents the trend of individuation and diversification,and presents the urgent need for spiritual comfort under the rich material life guarantee.However,the service content and service means provided by traditional military leave service management institutions lag far behind the actual needs of military leave cadres.The contradiction of the imbalance between supply and demand puts forward new requirements for the traditional military leave service management.Social work has advantages in the aspects of service concept,service mode and service level,so it is urgent to explore the main force and new ways of social work to intervene in the spiritual consolation of military rest.This study reviewed the strategies of traditional social work spiritual consolation for the elderly and the research results of social work involvement in spiritual consolation for military officers in recent years,and attempted to explore the service methods and limitations of traditional spiritual consolation for military officers from the particularity of military officers as a starting point.Based on the spiritual solace project for demobilized military cadres in Institution J of Z City,professional social work services were carried out for 171 demobilized military cadres.Literature method,questionnaire survey method and semi-structured interview method were adopted to obtain first-hand information,clarify the specific needs of service objects,formulate corresponding service objectives and service ideas,and use group work method to involve demobilized military cadres in a demobilized military center in Z city.Social workers found that demobilized military cadres generally have the needs of spiritual companionship,psychological catharsis,interpersonal communication,respect and self-realization.According to the theory of active aging,the needs of the service objects are divided into four dimensions: "maintaining physical and mental health","improving themselves in psychological ways","expanding the social relationship network" and "extensive community participation".Nine sections of group activities with the theme of "Mulberry Elm Sunset Glow" are carried out for them,aiming at meeting the diversified needs of the mental health of military officers on leave,and verifying the effectiveness of introducing social work forces into the field of traditional military leave service management.After the service evaluation,the effect of social work in military leave spiritual consolation are summarized,which provides a new theoretical and practical basis for traditional military leave social work.It is found that under the background of the new era,social work participation in military leave spiritual consolation has its inevitability and comparative advantages.It can meet the increasingly diversified mental health needs of military leave cadres and make up for the deficiencies of traditional military leave service management under the transformation of service concept deepening,service content diversification,service form innovation and service support system systematization.Promote the better integration of military rest work and social work.
