A Research Of Case-Work Intervention Of Female Community Correction Objects

The community correction work has the dual functions of both traditional punishment and community correction.It uses professional concepts and working methods to help the community correction object correct the wrong behavior and thoughts,reduce the rate of recidivism in society,adapt them to normal social life,and community correction objects will be recognized and accepted by the public.Finally,social workers help them achieve the goal of resocialization.The female criminals occupy low proportion in overall criminal group relatively,and it is difficult to attract public attention as a weak group,the insufficient institution of community correction and the neglected community correction work lead to increase recidivism rate and the difficulty of resocialization.Social workers should focus on the actual needs of female community correction objects and provide corresponding psychological assistance and social assistance.Social workers should possess idea of “help people help themselves” to help female community correction objects correct behavior and thoughts,eliminate negative emotions and psychological barrier,restore physical and mental health,rebuild positive values and personality,make them reintegrate into society,and achieve resocialization.Case work is based on respect for the individual,using scientific expertise and skills to build a one-for-one professional support relationship.In the community correction service for individual women,the author comprehensively uses the methods of literature research and indepth interview to investigate the current situation and problems of social work intervention in female community correction in X District of X City.There is no specific correction method for the particularity of the female correction object in the current community correction.From the professional perspective of social work,the author intervenes in the specific cases through the way of case work,thus summing up the general experience that can be practiced.This paper takes female community correction objects as the research object,cooperates with the core idea of “help people help themselves”,and analyzes the difficulties that female community correction objects face in the correction process with humanistic care.Then through literature research and field investigations,we can really understand the needs of female community correction objects.And with application of various case-work intervention strategies and techniques,as well as multiple theories,such as Social Support Theory and Resocialization Theory,social workers can provide targeted help for female community correction objects,to correct their wrong thoughts and behaviors,assist them to eliminate negative emotions,re-establish self-confidence,improve family atmosphere,and grow up positive individual values and lifestyle.Finally,case-work intervention will promote the female community correction object to complete the great resocialization.As well as social worker has obtained abundant experience through case-work intervention,it laid the foundation for the practice of community corrections in the future.
