Since the 18 th Party Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasised the importance of ideals and beliefs and integrated education in universities and schools,and has also clearly put forward the goal of building an integrated ideology and politics course in universities and schools.Education on ideals and beliefs is one of the educational objectives that always runs through the Civics and Political Science classes,and is an important element of ideological and political education.The junior and senior high school stage is a critical period in the formation of students’ worldview,outlook on life and values,and an important stage in the cultivation of correct political attitudes and good moral qualities,as well as an important transition stage in the integration of the Civics and Political Science classes in universities and colleges,which is a bridge and link between primary schools and universities,and carries the important responsibility of guiding students to establish correct ideals and firm and noble beliefs.However,at present,the integration of junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science courses has not yet built a complete system,and the orderly connection of junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science courses’ ideal and belief education needs to be further deepened.This paper focuses on the theme of the integration of ideal and belief education in junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science classes to explore and discuss.On the basis of textual analysis of the curriculum standards and teaching materials of junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science classes,etc.,an empirical survey was conducted in six secondary schools in Hanzhong City,Shaanxi Province,through questionnaires and interviews.Based on the information and data from the research,the current situation and causes of the integration of ideal belief education in junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science classes were analysed in relation to the textbooks and curriculum standards in order to explore the optimisation strategies for the integration of ideal belief education in junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science classes.Apart from the introduction,the other is divided into three parts.The first part is an overview of the integration of ideal and belief education in junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science classes,including the definition of core concepts,and the elaboration of the theoretical basis,policy basis and practical basis for the integration of ideal and belief education in junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science classes.The second part is an analysis of the current situation and causes of the integration of ideal and belief education in junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science classes.Through textual analysis and empirical investigation,it is found that in the current construction process of the integration of ideal and belief education in junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science classes,there are certain problems in ideal and belief education objectives,education contents,education methods and education evaluation,etc.At the same time,the main reasons for the existence of this series of problems are the imperfect guidance system of the integration of ideal and belief education in junior and senior high school Civics and Political Science classes,lagging curriculum standards,exam-oriented education The main reasons for the existence of this series of problems are the imperfect guidance system of ideological and belief education in junior and senior high schools,the lagging curriculum standards,the deep influence of exam-oriented education,the weak awareness of the teacher team and the lack of communication among teachers.The third section proposes strategies for optimising the integration of ideal and belief education in junior and senior secondary school Civics and Politics courses.These include: following the principles of integrated construction of Civics and Political Science classes;optimising teaching implementation to promote the integration of ideal and belief education in Civics and Political Science classes in junior and senior secondary schools;strengthening the communication and interaction between teachers of junior and senior secondary Civics and Political Theory classes to enhance the integration of the teaching team;and strengthening the various secondary school courses and Civics and Political Science classes to work in the same direction and coalesce educational synergy. |
