| Aggressive behavior refers to a tendency and pattern of behavior that intentionally causes physical and mental damage to other individuals.Early maltreatment experience refers to a series of physical and mental injuries suffered by individuals in early childhood.Resilience refers to an individual’s ability to adapt appropriately to adversity.Previous studies have shown that childhood abuse increases the risk of later aggressive behavior, and resilience,as an important part of individual psychological energy, can help individuals quickly recover from adversity and setbacks. This study combined questionnaire survey and empirical research to explore the impact of early abuse experience and resilience on aggressive behavior of junior high school students with or without frustration,in order to provide educational countermeasures for reducing and preventing aggressive behavior of adolescents. In the first study,929 junior high school students from two schools were tested with the Childhood Abuse Scale, psychological resilience Scale and aggressive behavior Scale by questionnaire method, and SPSS 26.0 software was used for correlation analysis and moderating effect analysis of the data. The results showed that:(1)early maltreatment experience was positively correlated with aggressive behavior of junior high school students;(2)Psychological resilience is negatively correlated with aggressive behavior of junior high school students;(3)Psychological resilience plays a moderating role in the relationship between early maltreatment experience and aggressive behavior.Specifically, under the condition of low psychological resilience, early abuse experience can significantly predict the aggressive behavior of junior high school students.however, under the condition of high psychological resilience, the early experience of abuse could not significantly predict the aggressive behavior of junior high school students. In the second study,2(early maltreatment experience: high/low)× 2(resilience: high/low)×2(frustration situation: In this experiment,160 junior high school students from two schools were tested. The intensity of noise punishment in the competitive response paradigm was used as a measure of aggressive behavior, and the effects of early maltreatment experience level and psychological resilience level on aggressive behavior were investigated in the context of frustration or not.The results showed that:(1)the main effects of frustration situation, early maltreatment experience and psychological resilience were significant.(2)The interaction effects of early maltreatment experience, psychological resilience and frustration situation were significant, but the other interaction effects were not significant.Further simple analysis found that in the context of frustration, the aggressive behavior of individuals with high resilience and early maltreatment experience was significantly lower than that of individuals with low resilience and early maltreatment experience, and there was no significant difference between the aggressive behavior of individuals with high resilience and low resilience and early maltreatment experience. There was no significant effect of early maltreatment experience and resilience on aggressive behavior in the no-frustration scenario. Conclusions: Resilience reduces the negative impact of these risk factors on aggressive behavior for both long-term negative experiences of childhood abuse and short-term setbacks.Educational enlightenment: Based on the results of empirical research, the following educational countermeasures are given to help prevent and reduce the aggressive behavior of middle school students.First of all, nurturers and educators should establish correct parenting concepts, realize the serious consequences of early maltreatment experience on individual growth, and try to avoid physical and mental maltreatment of individuals.Secondly, all aspects should form a joint force to minimize the adverse consequences of early maltreatment experience on individuals.Thirdly, schools should carry out relevant courses and activities, and carry out psychological resilience training for individuals in a planned way to reduce their tendency of aggressive behavior. Finally,we can guide teenagers to form the correct understanding of setbacks, master the correct anti-setback methods, improve the ability to resist setbacks and other ways to carry out frustration education,in order to improve their emotional stability and psychological immunity, reduce the risk of adverse behavior problems caused by adversity. |
