| Community drug rehabilitation is a model of drug rehabilitation in the face of the current drug situation changes in our country,following the "people oriented" concept and using community comprehensive governance function to assist drug users in physiological detoxification,psychological rehabilitation,and social function recovery.It is an important part of China’s efforts to optimize its social governance system,prevent and resolve social risks,stimulate grassroots governance vitality,and establish a harmonious and orderly society.Driven by the Narcotics Control Law of the People’s Republic of China and the social governance system,China has established a community-based drug rehabilitation and recovery work model that is government-led,socially involved,and multi-party collaborative.The government has also adopted a model of purchasing social work services,introducing professional forces to participate in community-based drug rehabilitation and recovery work.This aims to leverage the advantages of social work professionalism,enhance the effectiveness of drug rehabilitation and recovery,and promote the improvement of grassroots drug control capabilities.Community drug rehabilitation work is a complex and diverse social engineering project.As the technical body providing professional assistance in the project,social work has a positive significance in improving the effectiveness of community drug rehabilitation.However,at the same time,social work is also constrained by many factors such as policy system,degree of professionalization of social work,grassroots governance capacity,economic development level,and community development level when providing services.Currently,research on community-based drug rehabilitation mainly focuses on urban communities with higher levels of economic development,and there is a lack of experience summaries for rural communities.Therefore,clarifying the development of social work participation in community-based drug rehabilitation under different regional and environmental conditions is an important aspect of promoting the construction of community-based drug rehabilitation.This paper focuses on the community drug rehabilitation project in X County,Shanxi Province.Through practical participation in the project and understanding the role of social work in the project,qualitative research methods were used to obtain theoretical and experiential materials through literature review,interviews,and observation.The involvement of social work in the community drug rehabilitation project in X County was analyzed and studied,and the effectiveness of social work in this area was summarized.The operation difficulties were also identified,and corresponding solutions were proposed.Through research,it has been discovered that social work participation in the drug rehabilitation work of X County’s communities has played a positive role in promoting the effectiveness of drug rehabilitation assistance,optimizing drug control capabilities,and promoting the awareness of drug prohibition among the public.However,it has also been found that the current social work participation model in community drug rehabilitation in China faces many challenges in central towns with low levels of community development and weak professional social work forces.These challenges include an incomplete community drug rehabilitation mechanism,unclear roles for social workers,inadequate professional skills for project social workers,insufficient theoretical support and supervision,and inadequate community support.These issues have been limiting the effectiveness of community drug rehabilitation work in social work.This article proposes corresponding improvement strategies in terms of policy and system,social work institutions themselves,and grassroots governance,in response to project problems,in order to provide certain reference for enriching the participation of social work in community drug rehabilitation services in different regions of China. |
