Case Work Intervenes Into The Study Of Spiritual Comfort For The Elderly People Living Alone In Rural Areas

China’s aging degree is relatively high,because of the loss of young and middle-aged people in rural areas,the degree of aging is more serious,and the number of elderly people living alone in rural areas in China accounts for a higher proportion of the elderly group.Considering the low level of economic development and lack of resources in rural areas,the elderly living alone in rural areas are a more vulnerable group.They face more problems and needs,and the need for spiritual comfort is one of them.Once the elderly living alone are mentally and emotionally in trouble,it is difficult to get rid of and fall into a negative state for a long time,which affects their quality of life in their later years.In this context,this paper takes the elderly living alone in rural areas as the research object,and first conducts semi-structured interviews and in-depth research on 12 elderly people living alone in Y village and their neighbors in Changzhi City,to understand the current situation of spiritual comfort for the elderly living alone in Y village,and find that they generally feel lonely and have a low sense of self-worth;Negative attitude to life;Problems with depression.Then,the reasons for the lack of spiritual comfort for the elderly living alone in the region were summarized: the emotional needs of the elderly living alone were not met;Elderly people living alone have misconceptions;Elderly people living alone have weak social support networks;Lack of recreational facilities in the community.Secondly,two typical elderly people living alone were selected as examples,and from the perspective of cognitive behavioral therapy mode and social support theory,the method of case social work was adopted to provide one-to-one intervention services for them.After initially collecting data to grasp their basic situation,they estimated the problems in cognitive behavior and social support system of the elderly living alone,as well as the material and psychological needs of the elderly,and then formulated goals and phased implementation plans,carried out multiple professional case interventions,and finally successfully closed the case,evaluated and reflected.In the whole process of case service,in view of the lack of spiritual comfort for the elderly living alone,professional social work skills and methods are used to improve the spiritual comfort of the service recipients,build a more complete social support system,and finally realize the spiritual self-support of the elderly living alone.Finally,based on the intervention of casework,the research conclusion is that the importance of social support networks for spiritual comfort is highlighted;The casework method is suitable for solving the problem of spiritual comfort for the elderly living alone;Social work intervention in the spiritual comfort of the elderly living alone is feasible and necessary.Then,i put forward countermeasures and suggestions on how to improve the spiritual comfort of the elderly living alone in rural areas: promote the spiritual self-support of the elderly living alone;Play a role in emotional support for families;Improve elderly care services in rural communities;The government and social organizations pay attention to the needs of the elderly living alone in rural areas.
