With the promotion of the comprehensive rule of law and the development of the new curriculum reform,the cultivation of youth awareness of the rule of law has received increasing attention.High school is a critical stage in the formation of students’ awareness of the rule of law,and it is necessary to give play to the fundamental role of ideology and politics classes in establishing moral education to promote the formation and improvement of students’ awareness of the rule of law.The module of Politics and the Rule of Law,as the main vehicle for cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law,is not only conducive to the implementation of the core elements of the subject,the prevention of juvenile delinquency and the promotion of students’ all-round development,but also to the promotion of the construction of a society under the rule of law.Through questionnaires and interviews to study the current situation of cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law in the teaching of high school "Politics and Rule of Law" module,we found that the cultivation of awareness of the rule of law has achieved some results: First,students’ awareness of the rule of law has been initially improved,specifically in the sense that students’ awareness of respecting,learning,abiding by and using the law has been improved.Second,teachers have a deeper understanding of cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law.However,there are still problems that some teachers do not pay enough attention to the cultivation of rule of law awareness,the lack of expansion of rule of law teaching content,the rule of law teaching methods are relatively traditional and the evaluation of rule of law awareness lacks effectiveness.The main reasons for this are that teachers’ awareness of the rule of law needs to be improved,the content of rule of law teaching is not explored enough and the method of rule of law teaching is not explored enough to reduce the effect of cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law,and the development of rule of law education is restricted by the traditional teaching evaluation and examination and enrollment system.In order to better improve students’ rational cognition and emotional identification with the rule of law in the teaching of Politics and Rule of Law module,the following optimized countermeasures for cultivation are proposed: First,teachers should change their teaching concepts and clarify the importance of rule of law awareness cultivation,while strengthening rule of law learning and improving teachers’ rule of law literacy.Second,teachers should carefully study the teaching materials and explore the rule of law resources inside and outside the classroom.Third,teachers should improve their teaching methods and strengthen their efforts to cultivate awareness of the rule of law.Fourth,to improve teaching evaluation through the diversification of evaluation subjects,the comprehensiveness of evaluation contents and the diversity of evaluation methods to enhance the effectiveness of evaluation of rule of law awareness.
