Research On The Cultivation Path Of Students’ Legal Consciousness In The Teaching Of Politics And The Rule Of Law

The General Secretary Xi Jinping was emphasized in the top 20 reports:Efforts should be made to guide the people to respect and abide by the law,enhance their awareness and accomplishment of the rule of law,and strengthen the construction of a country ruled by law.High school students are the hope of the motherland,the future of the nation,and witnesses and implementers of the great rejuvenation dream of the Chinese nation.Cultivating their awareness of the rule of law is related to their personal life direction and the future of rule of law construction.Therefore,society,schools,and teachers should focus on the real life and future development needs of students,attach importance to innovative methods,fasten the first "rule of law button" for high school students,and enhance the effectiveness of rule of law cultivation.As one of the compulsory textbooks for high school politics,’Politics and the Rule of Law’ contains rich content on cultivating the rule of law,mainly including legal authority awareness,rights and obligations awareness,equality and justice awareness,procedure and rule awareness,and other main legal content.It has unique advantages in cultivating the rule of law awareness,which is conducive to improving the educational effect of the rule of law awareness and implementing the fundamental task of cultivating moral character in the discipline.Cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law has rich value implications.Firstly,for students,it is beneficial to guide them to form a legal mindset,enhance their sense of responsibility,and help them grow healthily;Secondly,for the discipline of ideological and political education,the awareness of the rule of law is an important component of the core literacy of the discipline.It plays an important role in promoting the overall implementation of the core literacy of the discipline and the achievement of the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people,which is conducive to achieving the teaching objectives of the discipline;Finally,for the country,it is conducive to promoting the construction of a socialist rule of law country.At present,the course "Politics and the Rule of Law" has achieved certain results in cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law,such as students mastering certain knowledge of the rule of law,and strengthening their awareness of abiding by the law and safeguarding their rights.However,there are also some problems,such as insufficient value guidance in the cultivation of rule of law awareness,lack of integrated connection in the cultivation of rule of law awareness,lack of breadth in the exploration of rule of law awareness cultivation content,lack of innovation in the solidification of rule of law awareness teaching methods,and weak links in extracurricular practice activities of rule of law awareness.Through classroom observation,questionnaire surveys,and teacher interviews,the reasons behind this are summarized as follows:the ability of teaching subjects to transform the textbook system into a teaching system needs to be improved,the concept of teacher rule of law cultivation needs to be updated,and the evaluation of rule of law awareness teaching is not perfect enough.In order to enhance the effectiveness of cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law in the teaching of "Politics and the Rule of Law",we will actively explore five aspects:the concept of rule of law education,the content of rule of law cultivation,teaching methods,practical links,and evaluation systems,and propose solutions.
