With the continuous development of different curriculum resources,documentaries gradually enter the secondary language classroom and gradually become the focus of many teachers’ attention because of their authenticity and objectivity.Writing teaching in secondary schools is an indispensable and important part of language teaching in secondary schools,and an important channel to cultivate students’ basic language skills.However,there are many problems in teaching writing in secondary schools,such as fixed teaching methods,students’ fear of writing,students’ lack of good writing habits and poor understanding of writing.This paper tries to use the form of documentary film to teach writing in high school,enrich writing teaching with visual images,enrich writing teaching materials,optimize writing teaching methods,improve students’ interest in writing,and finally achieve the purpose of improving students’ writing level and increasing their basic language skills in order to improve the effect of writing teaching.This paper mainly discusses the application of documentary film in high school language writing teaching in six parts.The first part of the introduction section mainly states the origin and significance of the study,the current situation of the study,and the content and method of the study.The second part clarifies the characteristics of documentaries and the value of documentaries in teaching language writing in high school.This paper discusses the inevitability and necessity of introducing documentaries into writing teaching from the current situation and practical needs of students’ writing.Documentaries are characterized by various subjects,realistic and objective,profound content and emotional interchange,which are useful for enriching composition materials,deepening the understanding of composition subjects and increasing students’ emotional experience.The third part,in the form of a questionnaire,investigates the use of documentary films in high school language writing teaching,and analyzes some problems in view of the current situation.It can be seen that the application of documentary films in language writing teaching has been highly recognized,and documentary films have a greater development value.However,there are still many problems in the process of practical application.The fourth part uses documentaries to optimize the resources for teaching writing in high school.These include rich writing material resources,rich writing language resources,rich writing emotion resources,and rich writing culture resources in documentaries.These resources give students something to say in the writing process.The fifth part of the use of documentary film to optimize the basic strategies of high school writing teaching,documentary film in the application of high school writing teaching to provide effective implementation strategies,first,combined with the goal,broaden the documentary channels,flexible and diverse development of documentary channels,grasp the goal,play the subjectivity of students,to achieve innovation,documentary reprocessing,second,relying on the classroom,to achieve the organic integration of documentary film and writing teaching,according to Secondly,relying on the classroom,we can realize the organic integration of documentary and writing teaching,according to the teaching,we can choose flexible broadcasting methods,allocate the time appropriately according to the class time,guide students,and increase the interactive experience.Finally,we integrate resources,summarize and optimize,guide writing,organize extracurricular activities,keep up with the times,improve teachers’ media literacy,summarize and reflect,and create a team of teachers.Part Ⅵ presents a case study of the development and use of documentary writing resources in a high school writing classroom and an evaluation of students’ outstanding essays.The background,purpose,process,and reflections of the cases are explained with a view to trying to solve the problems found in reality through specific cases.
