With the continuous development of science and technology,mathematics has been widely used in every field of modern society,and mathematical modeling has gradually become one of the core topics of mathematics education.Mathematical modeling is a basic way and an important means to solve non-mathematical problems with mathematical content.After the 21 st century,mathematical modeling education has become one of the important directions of mathematics curriculum reform at home and abroad.But affected by the influence of exam-oriented education,mathematical modeling education in our country hasn’t been paid enough attention to at the high school stage.Function is one of the four main lines of high school mathematics curriculum,whose essence is the mutual relationship between variables,and function is closely related to real life,while mathematical modeling can establish the connection between mathematics and reality.Therefore,the idea of mathematical modeling into high school function teaching must be an effective way to improve students’ mathematical modeling literacy and mathematical application ability.Through literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and case analysis method,this paper studies the integration of mathematical modeling thought into the main line of high school function teaching.Firstly,the research direction and research questions are determined by collating and analyzing relevant literature materials such as mathematical modeling thought and function teaching.Then,combined with the analysis of the main line of high school function and the investigation of the current situation of high school function teaching,we understand the difficulties in high school function teaching,the specific application of modeling thought in function and the understanding of teachers and students to modeling thought.According to the survey results,supported by constructivism theory,metacognitive theory and Freidenthal’s educational thought,five principles and four strategies for integrating mathematical modeling thought into the main line of functional teaching in senior high school are summarized and proposed: the principle of appropriateness,the principle of pertinence,the principle of situation,the principle of development and the principle of modeling.Integrate modeling process into classroom teaching,attach importance to the establishment and application of function model,integrate mathematical modeling thought into knowledge application,and integrate information technology into mathematical modeling thought.Then,according to the proposed teaching principles and strategies,three teaching design cases are constructed,and the thought of mathematical modeling is integrated into the analysis and teaching reflection.It is found that the integration of mathematical modeling thought into the main line of function teaching in high school is conducive to revealing the essence of function content,so that students can gradually realize "learning,using and exploring".At the same time,it can play a positive role in stimulating students’ exploration interest and desire for knowledge,cultivating students’ innovative thinking,improving mathematical exploration and mathematical application ability,and ultimately promoting students’ all-round development and teachers’ professional development,so as to realize the implementation of mathematical modeling literacy.
