College graduates go from school to society,from student role to social role,social role transformation is the key life task they face,and their social adaptation has also become the focus of attention.When college graduates first enter society,some discomfort will inevitably occur in the process of socialization.As an important concept and method of adult learning,self-directed learning has certain positive significance and promotion role in developing the social adaptability of college graduates.Based on the reality of social adaptation of college graduates,this study takes the theory of self-directed learning as the research perspective,and selects college graduates in the central region of China within five years or less as the main research objects.Using literature method,survey method,interview method and other research methods,this paper aims to investigate the self-directed learning patterns of college graduates in the process of social adaptation from the five dimensions of learning motivation,learning content,learning strategy,learning resources and learning evaluation,and take the problems existing in practice as the logical starting point to try to provide reasonable suggestions for improving the self-directed learning level of college graduates and promoting social adaptation.This study mainly includes six parts,as follows:The first part is the introduction,which introduces the research background and significance of the paper,clarifies the innovation of the research,as well as the research design and research methods.The second part combs and summarizes the research results of self-directed learning and social adjustment at home and abroad,and makes a brief review,which lays the foundation for the follow-up research.The third part defines the core concepts of college graduates,college graduates’ social adaptation and college graduates’ self-directed learning,clarifies the logical correlation between college graduates’ social adaptation and self-directed learning,and expounds the relevant theoretical basis.In the fourth part,a questionnaire survey is conducted on self-directed learning in social adaptation of college graduates,and four college graduates are selected for interviews.Through sorting out and analyzing the results of questionnaires and interviews,the present situation of self-directed learning in social adaptation of college graduates is discussed.The fifth part studies the obstacles and influencing factors of college graduates’ self-directed learning in social adaptation,and makes clear the obstacles existing in college graduates’ self-directed learning,namely,lack of learning motivation,limitation of learning content,lack of learning resources,solidification of learning strategies and single evaluation of learning.After in-depth analysis,it is found that it is influenced by graduates’ individual differences,learning goals,learning will,external environment,time factor and social interaction,which provides direction and guidance for the formation of strategies.The sixth part,based on the obstacles and influencing factors of college graduates’ self-directed learning in social adaptation,combined with the basic theories of adult education,from the perspectives of external support and college graduates themselves,puts forward the countermeasures to promote college graduates’ self-directed learning and achieve social adaptation.Society,work units and families should provide all-round support and guarantee for college graduates’ self-directed learning in social adaptation.College graduates should give full play to their subjective initiative,take social adaptation as guidance,and strengthen their learning motivation.According to the needs of social adaptation,expand the learning content;Construct social network and expand learning resources;Combine the society to adapt to the reality,optimize the learning strategy;Based on the situation of social adaptation,improve the learning evaluation,constantly improve their self-directed learning ability in social adaptation,and realize the change of social role.
