| The stage of early childhood transition is a critical period for developing students’ good learning habits and other abilities,which can affect their primary school and even their entire learning career.At this stage,whether a child can smoothly transition to primary school and achieve successful early childhood transition experience will have a significant impact on their development at all stages of their future lives.Therefore,at this stage of early childhood transition,Children’s ability to adapt to life,learning,and social interaction in primary school plays a significant role in improving the quality of education and promoting children’s development.This study uses the method of questionnaire survey,through consulting materials and research,and referring to and adapting the "Research on the Current Situation and Influencing Factors of Admission Adaptation of Freshmans" compiled by Zhang Wei of Shaanxi Normal University,to conduct a questionnaire survey on 296 parents of primary school freshmen in S city from eight dimensions: learning attitude,independence and perseverance,learning environment,socialization,communication,self care ability,lifestyle,and self management,SPSS software was used to conduct descriptive statistical analysis and difference analysis of the data,as well as interviews with first grade teachers and parents.The results show that the overall situation of freshmen’s admission adaptation is above the middle level,with the ranking of each dimension being self care ability,independence and perseverance,learning attitude,living habits,socialization,learning environment,self management,and communication.In the analysis of differences,there are significant differences between only children and non only children in terms of socialization,communication,learning environment,and self management;There are significant differences in enrollment age in independence and perseverance,learning environment,self care ability,and living habits;Parents with different educational backgrounds have significant differences in sociality,communication,lifestyle,and self management.Based on the results of questionnaires and interviews,this study explored the main problems of freshmen’s admission adjustment: insufficient concentration;Inadequate learning attitude;Students’ self care ability is relatively weak;Parents’ and teachers’ concept of connecting young children needs to be changed.The main reasons for students’ difficulty in adapting to school entrance are significant differences in children’s physical and mental development,and the gap between young and young children;Premature knowledge storage leads to deviations in parents’ educational concepts;Teachers and parents neglect to cultivate students’ self care ability;Schools have neglected the cultivation of teachers’ knowledge of the connection between young and young children.Based on the survey results and questions,strategies are proposed to optimize the admission adaptation of primary school freshmen,with teachers paying attention to individual differences among students;Two-way communication and collaborative cooperation between schools and kindergartens;Parents and teachers should cooperate with each other;Parents should stimulate students’ learning enthusiasm;Parents should cultivate students’ good living habits;Teachers pay attention to the improvement of students’ self management ability;The school should provide pre job training and in-service education for first grade teachers;Teachers should also carry out teaching and research activities to optimize teacher education concepts. |
