In order to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on education and the spirit of the National Education Conference,incorporate ideological and political education into the new system of education,promote the ideological and political construction of university curricula in all aspects and improve the quality of university education,the Ministry of Education issued the Guidance Outline on the Construction of Ideological and Political Curriculum in Higher Education in May 2020,and in October 2022,the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council issued the The outline clearly states that "physical education classes should establish the concept of health-first education,focus on patriotic education and traditional culture education,cultivate students’ belief of striving hard and struggling to have a sense of responsibility to improve the physical quality of the whole nation." For this reason,fully tapping the Civic Political elements of the sports classroom is an important way and method to complete the Civic Political construction of the college curriculum,and therefore the teaching design of the sports professional theory course is also an important way and method to complete the Civic Political construction of the sports curriculum.This paper will use literature method,survey method and mathematical statistics method to carry out research from four aspects: the current situation of sports theory course,the theoretical basis and implementation principles of the teaching of the thought politics of sports theory course,the curriculum design of Introduction to Sports,the case design and implementation effect of Introduction to Sports,and draw the following conclusions:1.The theory of the implementation of Civic Education in the theory course of college physical education needs to be studied on the basis of Xi Jinping’s theory of Civic Education in the new era curriculum,Marx’s theory of comprehensive human development,implicit education theory and Dewey’s theory of pragmatism.2.The implementation of the theoretical course of Civic Education in college sports should follow the principle of moral education first,the principle of people-oriented and the principle of close links.3.The survey results show that 66.67% of the students get the content of the knowledge related to the course Civics through the teachers’ teaching,65.93% of the students get the content related to the course Civics through the information on the government department’s website,54.81% of the students get the knowledge related to the course Civics through the notice issued by the school,which proves that the way for the students to get the related specific information is relatively single,so it needs teachers,schools and Therefore,teachers,schools and society need to increase the relevant publicity.4.Teachers should pay attention to the rapid changes in society and the diversified needs of students in order to adjust the teaching methods and update the content accordingly.5.Teaching feedback found that the case teaching method is more widely loved by students,easy to enhance the value of students’ interest in professional knowledge,but its shortcomings are more limited,not easy to be well integrated with the knowledge of all chapters,so when teaching teachers need to use a variety of flexible methods,appropriate use of the discussion method,group work method.
