| Education is the key to rural revitalization,and promoting the development of r ural education is an important element in building a beautiful countryside and realizi ng the goal of a modern and strong country.In the process of integrated developmen t of urban and rural education,rural small-scale schools are an important force in ens uring compulsory education in rural areas,and have received more attention in the fi eld of rural education research because they have undergone discussions on abolition and restoration as well as their existence value.Currently,with the support of nation al policies,the infrastructure of rural small-scale schools has been improved,but to f urther improve the quality of their operation and meet their developmental needs,th e collaboration of multiple supporters is needed.The role of social support in the dev elopment of rural small-scale schools is gradually emerging,based on the dual value s of policy encouragement and practical feasibility.Based on the existing research on rural small-scale schools and social support,t his paper presents a qualitative research design based on social support theory and s ocial-ecological system theory.After selecting some schools in Henan Province,whe re rural small-scale schools are widely distributed,a case study of L Primary School,which has a relatively rich experience of social support and a diversity of support su bjects,was finally identified.Through in-depth interviews with students,teachers,a nd supporters,physical data collection,and detailed observation of the daily campus and rural environment,the basic elements,structure,and operation of the support sy stem were gradually identified.At the same time,we analyzed the possible dilemma s of the social support system in rural small-scale schools in the process of fieldwork and data analysis,and tried to find ways to optimize it.Based on the field survey and data analysis,we found that,taking the sample sc hool L elementary school as an example,the rural community,social organizations,personal relationships,and social opinions provide material support,behavioral supp ort,cultural support,and emotional support for the construction and development of L elementary school,teacher optimization,student improvement,and improvement of home-school cooperation,forming a micro-,meso-,and macro-level social suppo rt system.The support system is holistic,complex,and structured.The system as a whole is driven by a combination of self-organizational dynamics and other organiza tional motivation,and the transmission of needs is formed through the expression an d acquisition of needs.After summarizing the findings,this study concludes that the overall system of social support system in rural small-scale schools has incomplete operation mechani sm,low utilization of public opinion support,room for optimization of rural commu nity support,lack of guarantee of social organization support,and weakness of perso nal relationship support among various support subjects,and rural small-scale schoo ls themselves have insufficient understanding of social support.The rural small-scal e schools themselves are not sufficiently aware of social support.Based on this,this study argues that the government should guide the system to support all subjects in t he system to gradually improve the support system,and within the system,the existi ng problems should be optimized and improved through innovative ways of rural co mmunity support while preserving local characteristics,social organizations to ensur e the quality of support,personal relationship support to break through limitations,a nd rural small-scale schools to actively play an active role in order to build a rural sc hool with multiple subjects,reasonable structure,good operation,and efficient imple mentation.The aim is to build a social support system for rural small-scale schools t hat is diversified,well-structured,well-functioning,and efficient. |
