Community public space is an indispensable unit in urban space. It is not only an important place for cultivating residents’ sense of community participation, community public spirit and shaping community social capital, but also a link connecting grassroots governments, community organizations, community elites and residents and other diverse subjects in the community. However,in the current process of the construction of urban public space and the sinking of public services, the establishment and operation of the embedded elderly care service center in the community has triggered the contradictions and conflicts between community residents and social organizations. With the deepening of power’s invasion of space,"NIMBY conflicts" related to public services begin to appear frequently. In the process of spatial remodeling of urban transformation,"NIMBY" has become a typical manifestation of urban spatial conflicts during the transformation period.NIMBY conflict refers to the fact that people are dissatisfied with the squeeze caused by some projects on public activity space and daily living space, hope that these projects will not be built in their backyard or home, and take a fight based on space justice or resistance based on daily life. This study selected the NIMBY event of S community elderly care service center in N City as a case study. From the perspective of spatial production,it combined static structure with dynamic narrative to show the temporal and spatial characteristics of NIMBY conflicts in the sinking process of public services. This paper analyzes the structural constraints faced by NIMBY conflicts in communities, how the government realizes space production, and analyzes the strategies of spatially related stakeholders in the face of specific circumstances, explores the possibility of bottom-up space reproduction, and explains the logical transformation of NIMBY conflicts. The high quality demand of urban public services "forces" the government to continuously optimize the supply of public services, and "sinking" has become the priority choice to improve the quality and efficiency of government public services. However, this "sinking" is interwoven with capital intervention, government failure and grassroots formalism, which stimulates a new type of "NIMBY conflict" triggered by the penetration of public services into residents’ daily life.Three NIMBY practices of S community elderly care service practice in N City reveal the logic of "NIMBY conflict" in the sinking process of public service. The protest mode of " NIMBY conflict" has changed from "construction-confrontation" to "service-resistance".The protest subjects of " NIMBY conflict" have experienced "social community" and returned to atomized families and individuals, and the protest actions have also changed from "concerted action" to "fragmentation".After the public administration mechanism entered the "life scene" layer by layer, there was a "change of course",and the continuous expansion of political space formed a continuous squeeze on the public space of residents. The fuzzy power boundary, the struggle for space right and the dislocation of public value all contribute to the logical transformation of NIMBY conflict in the process of endowment service sinking. Therefore, analyzing the phenomenon of " NIMBY conflict" in the sinking process of public services and the transformation logic not only has practical significance for resolving the dilemma of urban grassroots governance, but also constitutes a new possibility to deepen the understanding of NIMBY conflict from the perspective of spatial production theory...
