Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the selection of teaching methods is an important part of improving the teaching effect of ideological and political courses,and story teaching method,as a teaching method that combines teaching with pleasure,has strong applicability for students in junior high school.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to strengthen the research on the application of story teaching method in the teaching of moral and legal courses in junior high schools.The necessity and feasibility of applying story teaching method in the teaching of moral and rule of law courses in junior high schools are as follows: the need to achieve the goals and requirements of the moral and rule of law curriculum standards;The need for the characteristics of moral and legal textbooks in junior high schools;The need to improve the teaching effect of ideological and political courses;Comply with the curriculum concept stipulated in the new curriculum standard of moral and legal courses;The new textbooks for junior high schools provide space for the application of story teaching methods;The story teaching method is suitable for the characteristics of junior high school students’ education.Through field research,the current application of story teaching method in the teaching of moral and rule of law courses in junior high schools has achieved certain results: promoting students’ interest in learning;Promoting the achievement of teaching objectives;Create a lively atmosphere in the classroom.The main problems are: the integration of stories and teaching content is not tight;The theme of life is not strong;The interactive application of story teaching is not high;The way of presenting the story is relatively simple;The value guidance of the story is insufficient.The main reasons are:teachers’ insufficient research on story teaching methods;Teachers do not have a clear understanding of the characteristics of moral and legal courses in junior high schools;Teachers are not sure about the cognitive level of middle school students;Teachers are unfamiliar with the use of advanced technology;Deeply imprisoned by traditional educational models.In the new era,the main principles for further improving the effectiveness of moral and legal courses in junior high schools are: ideological;Inspiration;Lifestyle;interest.The main path is: in terms of story selection,combining current political hot spots,highlighting local characteristics,integrating other disciplines,and highlighting traditional culture;In terms of teaching methods,teachers and students exchange roles,tell stories and evaluate each other,set suspense,attract students’ interest,role play,improve students’ participation,organize and summarize,and strengthen overall understanding;In terms of expression methods,enhance the activity of language expression,improve the influence of the story,broaden the written expression path,diversify the way the story is presented,enrich the body style expression methods,and assist in creating a story atmosphere.
