In the basic education stage,the entire book reading is being carried out in an orderly manner.The "Chinese Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022Edition)" clearly states that "reading is a personalized behavior of students,and teachers’ analysis should not replace students’ reading practice." Whole book reading is a gradual process,in which students can accumulate rich language materials,learn to use comparison and contact methods,and master certain reading strategies.In primary school,the formation of students’ reading habits and the development of independent reading ability are very important.Reading the entire book plays a crucial role in improving students’ Chinese literacy.However,due to the large reading capacity,long reading time,and high requirements for reading concentration,middle school students generally lack self-control,reading experience,and reading methods for the entire book.Therefore,in the teaching of whole book reading in the middle stage of primary school,teachers should provide timely and appropriate guidance to students,accumulate experience in reading whole books,and better achieve transfer.This paper is carried out from the following five chapters: The introduction part summarizes the reasons for the topic selection,the literature review of the research significance and the research ideas and methods.The first chapter is the concept definition,value and theoretical basis of the whole book.Based on the latest research results in the field of whole book reading and reading guidance in China,this part explains and defines the connotation of the two core concepts of "whole book reading" and "guidance strategy".Attention is paid to the description of reading the whole book in the Chinese Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education(2022 edition).The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the current situation of whole book reading guidance for middle school students in Haikou City,and propose practical and feasible strategies based on this.This article is divided into six parts: The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates on the reason for the topic selection,research significance,research ideas and methods,and reviews existing relevant research literature.The first chapter closely combines the requirements for whole book reading in the "Chinese Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" and the research results on whole book reading guidance,clarifying the concept,value,and theoretical basis of whole book reading.Chapter 2 conducts an on-site survey of the actual reading situation of the entire book based on the internship school,analyzes the collected student questionnaires and interview results of six teachers,and understands the current situation of reading guidance for the entire book in the middle stage of primary school.The third chapter conducts attribution analysis on the problems in the entire book reading guidance in the middle stage of primary school,focusing on the problems found in the survey process in three aspects: book selection,reading guidance,and evaluation.The fourth chapter mainly proposes relevant guidance strategies for the reading guidance of the entire book in the middle stage of primary school in response to the existing problems.Chapter 5 combines my practical experience in reading teaching guidance during my internship to conduct in-depth research on the reading guidance strategies for the entire book of "Little Doudou by the Window" in the classroom,in order to support the feasibility of the principles and strategies for guiding the reading of the entire book.
